We have been to Walt Disney World 12 times and always stay on Disney property. This is the first time we have stayed at Yacht and Beach Club area. It was an amazing time. A short walk we would be at Epcot, the Boardwalk or Hollywood studios. Also, we could walk through Epcot and catch the monorail to Magic Kingdom. Buses ran smoothly. The marketplace at the villas had an excellent selection of food and gifts. The rooms were spacious and clean. I highly recommend this location! FYI - we did the meal plan for the first time - it was great!

My family (2 daughters ages 3 and 5, and husband) and I stayed at the Beach Club Villas for 5 nights in February 2012. Overall we had a wonderful stay. We experienced very friendly people as we checked in and out and they were very helpful and friendly. The room was basically clean, a couple of minor flaws but overall couldn't complain. I chose this resort #1 because of the short walk to Epcot, boat ride to Disney Studios...and #2 because I could get a 1 bedroom. Once we figured out the paths around the resort it only took 7 minutes to walk from our room to Epcots back gate. We loved that! Our first day we got lost on the paths and first couldn't find the parking lot from our room and then couldn't find Epcot from the parking lot. But after that little exploration, we had it down pat and knew our way around no problem. It was a bit of a walk to the big pool that the Beach Club and Yacht Club share but the sand bottom pool was perfect for my little ones. No one had told us that each person had to have their room key to enter pool area and so we only had one key. The pool guy didn't seem very happy that my daughters and I did not have ours but I was not walking the long walk back to our room and he let us in with a warning that we had to have them next time. As far as the boat ride to Disney Studios, we took advantage of this once...opting to catch the boat at the Epcot entrance rather than the Beach Club/Yacht Club stop and although it was a longer boat ride (25 minutes) we got on the boat first so had seats rather than being the last stop and having to stand.
While I did not choose this resort for a view, I requested a top floor facing Epcot when I booked and we ended up with a 2nd floor room facing the woods. We stayed at Kidani Village last year and loved the view but the location of this resort made up for the lack of view. We did have a huge balcony, though. And we were a bit of a walk to an elevator so to get to Epcot we just used the stairs which were much closer so being on the 2nd floor was actually beneficial.

I love this place. This is my favorite place to stay in Disney because it has access via Ferry and it is a quick 10 minute walk to the Epcot entrance near England. Though this is a bit of a walk through Epcot to get to the monorail it is very nice because you do not have to take a bus.

There is plenty to do on the Boardwalk between the incredible pools, the arcades, ice cream shops and of course the lighthouse. There are bars and clubs too though I never went to any of them.

I was in Disney for a week and having a kitchen saved us so much money. A place to cook and store food was key. We got a car service from MCO Airport and the price included a grocery store stop for 30 minutes. We ran into the grocery store and stocked up on breakfast items, milk, snacks, water and some quick meals like soups and pastas. 8 people not having breakfast every single morning was a huge $ saver. We had wine and beer that we got at the grocery store stocked in the villa as well. Again, huge money saver.

We found that the kids liked it because on long days they could relax and wind down from the day in front of the TV with a bowl of soup and grilled cheese. The adults enjoyed not having to scrape our whining kids off the floor because they are so exhausted after a day in the Florida heat.

This worked well because we were two families travelling together. It would be a bit pricey otherwise but the convenience of it all is worth it for us. I believe that staying here made the entire trip more manageable and enjoyable for everyone in our group.

Room Tip: We had a room by the back pool which was excellent because it was quiet and not chaotic.

We stayed here for 5 days and we had the best time. Tthe pool was wonderful we all enjoyed it. The kids loved the slide and the adults like the "lazy river".
It also had easy access to Epcot so if we needed a break because it was hot we could go back to the hotel without waiting for the bus. We also enjoyed the walk to Hollywood studios, it was a great way to wind down and not crowd onto the boat.

Room Tip: We had a room that was at the front facing the enterance and it was still very quiet. Did not have...

We travel to Walt Disney World 2-3 times per year, despite the fact that we live in the northeast. In general, the resorts on the Disney property are a known quantity with respect to quality, cleanliness, and helpful, courteous staff.

We particularly like the Beach Club due to not only it's themed early 20th century Beach motif but due to it's incredible location. It is nicely situated within walking distance of Epcot and MGM and shuttle buses can easily take you to the other theme parks, Downtown Disney, etc.

The main pool is something to behold. It is difficult to describe it and do it justice. The end of the meandering pool that accommodates smaller children actually has a sandy bottom as well as a sandy area for the kids to build sand castles. For the older children and adults, the pool also offers a lazy river area as well as a very large water slide.

The only concern is that during busier vacation times, the pool area can fill quickly - having few if any seats available by mid-day. The staff does a good job of policing the pool area, asking for Resort ID before allowing you access to the pool area as quite a few "pool hoppers" try to get in even though they aren't guests at this resort because the pool is so well known. Even so, the area can fill up so you might want to plan on spending the day at the pool and get there early. in fairness to others, you can't just throw towels on the chairs and come back later in the day for your seats. They will remove the towels if it looks like the seats are unused and open the spaces up to guests that are actually there trying to get a seat.

Near the pool area, there are also lockers, an ice cream shoppe, a burger establishment, a spa, and a fitness center. There is also a snack bar right at the pool, offering burgers, etc and drinks - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

There is also a smaller quiet pool located adjacent to the villas. (The main pool is a bit of a walk from the villas, being closer to the main lobby and the Boardwalk Inn.)

The staff is always impeccably well-trained to accommodate your every need and request. The rooms are very well appointed and very clean. The villas also offer the added benefit of laundry facilities in each unit which is a definite plus if you're traveling with children!

The Cape May Cafe, which offers a buffet character breakfast and a buffet dinner (no characters though) has a huge variety of items from which you can choose. There is something for everyone. It's a little pricey but worth splurging on at least once for each meal during your stay.

We are Disney Fanatics. We are going at least once a year for the last 5-7 years. I must have been thee 20 times, plus euro Disney, plus the cruise.

Combing back from the Disney Cruise, we made a one-night pit-stop at the Beach Club Villa on our way back home. We usually stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, or the Boardwalk Villas offering similar accomodation but both were full...but hey, never been disapointed on Disney property, so what can go wrong staying in the same "high-end" (lower than the Grand Floridian, granted, but still not cheap at all) villas?

Nothing to complain about the property itself. Nice room, clean and all. But for the first time in my life with Disney, I was shock by the poor service offered at this resort. Poor and sometimes even RUDE...RUDE AT DISNEY???

We showed up mid-day, got the room, left for the park. Came back around 9 PM, looking for something to eat...oups, the steakhouse closes at 9 ON A SATURDAY NIGHT? OK, we are tired, we have a 5 years old, so why not order room service?

Back in the room, first, no room service menu. Trying to call them for 15-20 mnutes, NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. Back to the main desk, they cannot either provide a menu nor reach their own room service staff. Finally got a menu delivered at the room...it is now past 10...still, call to order, explained that I have been trying to get to them for the last hour without sucess and the attendant provided no apologies, took the order with a rude tone, like if I was calling at Dominos at 3 in the morning...never experienced a complete mess like this on these properties before.

When I mentioned that to the desk, I got no apologies, no explanation other than they were very busy...really, at 9-10 a saturday night at Disney? For the price of the room, cannot hire one more person? Goes against all Disney standard so I will not be back at the Beach Villas.
