To begin - this is for the Villas which is part of the Vacation Club. This resort shares the same services and amenities as the Beach Club Hotel. The Villa building sits right behind the main Hotel. Best way to describe - this is the warm fuzzy blanket you don't want to replace. We try new places each time we visit but it would be hard not go back to this one. There was something very calming and relaxing about this resort. There is only one villa building and it is five stories with elevators on either end so it is not a huge everlasting hallway to get to your room. I've read other reviews that this place is looking a little tired but I instead thought it felt well aged giving a cozy and calming feeling. Yes, a little dated but in a good way. And that is what I liked about it. Just a welcome home feeling. No glitz. No 3rd half bath. The old fashion layout with good old fashion charm! It also offered he best housekeeping service out of any of the properties we have visited and again I think this was because of the small size of the Villa property. Everything in our unit worked well. It was the most comfortable mattress on DVC property. We stayed in a large two bedroom (the second bedroom was huge) on the fifth floor that overlooked the quiet pool. Added bonus--Where else can you walk to see the Epcot evening fireworks then return home for a glass of wine to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks on your balcony while seeing the kids happily swimming below? Magical!!

Without a doubt the location and the pool are the reasons why you give this property a try especially if travelling with older children. And as other reviews already state - that part is Excellent! There is plenty to do within safe walking distance to keep everyone busy even when not in the parks. Great restaurants just outside your door. ...However don't be surprised if you leave wishing this was your home resort!

You can't go wrong when choosing Disney's Beach Club Villas at Walt Disney World in Florida. The location is so close to the Boardwalk and EPCOT, access to both by just a relaxing walk. From the moment you walk in and are greeted with a smile until you arrive in your beach themed room, you will know that you made the right choice. Some rooms have balcony view of Illuminations in EPCOT! Plenty of room for 4 adults and the Marketplace allows you to pick up gifts and food items. Don't forget to try the Character breakfast or the evening Dinner "Clam Bake" Buffet in the Cape May Buffet Restaurant. A bit pricy but offers Crab legs, shrimp, clams or muscles in an all you can eat atmosphere along. The pool is huge and has a beach like sandy entrance and play area , not to mention the large wrecked ship slide. All of this around the lake. Transportation to all the parks is quick via boat or bus.

Any of the properties located between Epcot Center and Hollywood Studios are a great find... Their location alone is well worth the price. Had the pleasure of staying here for a visit to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween last month. The resort, as expected, was immaculately clean and the service attentive and on point. As mentioned above the location is key... You can can walk to the Epcot Center from this resort as well as visit the boardwalk for evening entertainment. The only drawback is the lack of an actual sit down quick service restaurant on site (there is a food store that has quick meals available but no real indoor sitting options) aside from that it is an excellent resort.

Room Tip: Try it pick a room that will be as close as possible to the walk way to Epcot.

We have stayed at Beach Club Villas numerous times since we became Disney Vacation Club members in 2002. We have stayed there three times in the past 3 months. The most recent stays have left less than favorable impressions on us, compared to other stays. On the first of the stays, we were assigned to a room in a different category than what we'd booked. The Cast Member (Disney staff member) who checked us in offered no apology and no acceptable solution. Fortunately, a manager the next morning recognized that we were not getting the value we'd paid for and resolved the room assignment issue favorably. Unfortunately, on that stay, we were in a villa that had not been cleaned (i.e., sink not cleaned, cleanser still on a commode, dirty towels in the Jacuzzi tub) and which needed repairs (towel bar not completely attached to the wall, coat hooks broken off of coat rack and not replaced). On our most recent stay, we were assigned to a handicap accessible room which we did not want, but since we were there only two nights, we made do with it. The bathrooms in these rooms have absolutely no storage space. The hair dryer is in a cloth bag hanging from the robe hook. There are NO counters or cabinets in the closet except two small decorative shelves on which housekeeping could stand 2 rolled-up washcloths on each. The bed was so low to the ground as to be uncomfortable. It is only the height of the boxspring sitting on the floor with the mattress on top of it. There are no longer comforters on the bed, simply a white-on-white duvet with no bed runner or "color" of any sort. Disappointing.
What this resort really has going for it is its location, within a close walk to EPCOT World Showcase and a longer, but doable walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios. It is also close to the restaurant and entertainment district of Disney's Boardwalk.

My kids are 28 and 21 and we have been going to Disney for well over 22 years, the best vacations always seem to be Disney vacations no matter what age the kids are. We stayed at the Beach Club Villas the last weekend of the Food and Wine Festival and as usual everyone at Disney is friendly and helpful, the Beach Club gives you an easy walk to Epcot and the boardwalk and like all the properties is well maintained. We took a two bedroom villa which was also very clean and well maintained, over the years we stayed at all the resorts but the Beach Club is my favorite it gives me that home feeling. I highly recommend the Food and Wine Festival as the kids get older it gives you another chance to experience another Disney chapter in their lives.

We stayed at The Beach Club DVC Villas from November 3 through November 6, 2013. Jeremy at their front desk was very kind when we checked in with Jenny also assisting us. The resort layout was initially confusing (the easiest thing to do is find the quickest way to the lobby and then go places from there), but we were quite pleased with the location of Villa 136.

It was 1st floor with an easy walk-out to the quiet pool and a hot tub (one of at least four on the property) which truly was quiet the entire time. It was also very close to self-parking and if you are near this area, stop and peek over the bridge into the canal. There are so many huge turtles that love to get bread, pretzels, etc – You will be amazed and entertained by their beauty! The room is also close to the Marketplace which is good for gifts and fast meals.

We are a married couple without children that have enjoyed staying at the following DVC properties that include Aulani, Bay Lake Tower, Saratoga Springs and Old Key West. We have also been hotel guests at The Grand Floridian and The Polynesian many times.

We had tried to stay at Beach Club Villas several times, but it was always booked. This time we were able to get reservations with a Sunday arrival. This property’s location to Epcot and easy launch to Hollywood Studios in addition to the amenities at The Boardwalk Hotel and Yacht Club was a major draw for us.

Unfortunately, this property needs to take advantage of the upswing with the economy and start closing off wings of this DVC property. The common areas are gorgeous and we couldn’t believe they gutted a sunroom off the DVC lobby practically overnight. There appeared to be nothing terribly wrong with this area – their time would have been better spent fixing 2 of the 4 Jacuzzis that weren’t operating the entire time we were there.

Our one bedroom villa was immaculate thanks to the friendly and hard-working housekeeping staff. There is only so much that cleaning can accomplish though. There were paint chips, drink ring stains on furniture, broken cupboards and a broken closet door that were hard to miss. Also the dishwasher was obviously replaced and did not fit or close properly.

Disney World and their hotel properties are always leaders in preserving our environment/conservation, but our showerhead constantly dripped and wasted plenty of water during our 4 days there.

The list was far too long to even bother calling the front desk, but we have emailed this to the hotel in hopes they will address the issue.

We enjoyed the pool area which consists of several inter-connecting pools, a couple of beach areas, two hot tubs and an awesome water slide that you enter from a tower on the pirate ship. It is good for both adults and kids. We also liked Stormalong Bay which would be a hit for all ages. It has a nice beach looking across the water to the Boardwalk.

We loved the swings that are out on the beach portion –just so relaxing plus we had the opportunity to rent a Boston Whaler one morning at The Yacht Club Marina! That provides lovely views of the hotels and you can ride down and back to Hollywood Studios in about one hour. Their water police are always available and helpful if you stall your boat or have a question.

If you are in decent shape, it really isn’t that much of a walk from The Beach Club to Hollywood Studios plus the scenery is beautiful. You will walk along the back of The Boardwalk Hotel and get pretty views of The Swan/Dolphin Hotels, too. You can also walk to Fantasia Gardens or to Epcot.

We used the gym at both Beach Club and Boardwalk since DVC members are allowed and the Boardwalk Gym was far more comfortable temperature-wise while the Beach Club had a great deal more cardio bikes available.

It wasn’t an awful stay and we had always wanted to spend time here – We just wouldn’t rush back. The Boardwalk Hotel and DVC Villas (where we stayed last Fall) are far better maintained and the layout is more inviting plus there is such a variety of restaurants/shops there compared to Beach Club!

Beach Club Villas must see far more traffic with guests/turnover because Beach Club Villas opened in 2002 while Boardwalk Villas opened in 1996 and the Boardwalk Villas appear in far better condition!

Stayed at this resort for Food and Wine October 2013, only because it is so hard to gert into and everyone I know raves about it. I was so disappointed. Firstly, we walked quite a distance to get to Epcot...we were in villa 474..furthest building from the park, closest to parking lot. The room needed lots of love and attention, the wall outside our shower was actually crumbling at the bottom. The whole resort needed attention, lights were out nightly all over the rsort. In fact, few outside lights were on at all at night...porches and walkways. When we checked in the garbage under the bathroom sink was unemptyed and had used feminine products sitting right on top. We promptly put it into the hallway. I just would prefer Boardwalk next time, we are not big pool people and other than the pool, there is nothing there that gets my vote.

Room Tip: Do not let them place you closest to the self parking lot....it is a long walk.
