Four nights for a conference. On par with the adjacent JW Marriott; doesn't really feel like a Ritz. Would book personally if I got a good rate but it didn't blow me away.

We booked the bed and breakfast package for 3 nights while in Orlando for an event. The staff at the Ritz were courteous, friendly and extremely accommodating; just as one would expect. By the second day of our stay we were greeted by name by many of the staff members. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the Vineyard restaurant every morning. Our room was large (huge bathroom!) and comfortable. This hotel is connected via a conference center to the JW Marriott hotel. Even though there was a large dance competition going on at the Marriott, we found the Ritz to be quiet and relaxing.

The Ritz is only a short drive away from Orlando's theme parks and restaurants. I highly recommend this Ritz; we will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Orlando.

Room Tip: The pool behind the hotel and the golf courses are lovely. If possible, ask for a room facing the b...

My wife, two teen age daughters and I stayed here for the girls' dance competition in December. We were booked at the JW Marriott but were upgraded to the Ritz due to overbooking. The Ritz is superb. Service is gracious and attentive. the grounds are spectacular, the property is clean and well kept, the room was quiet, comfortable and very well equipped. The Ritz and the Marriott share the same grounds and facilities so we made use of the pools and restaurants on both.
A few minor issues: Self parking is $16 a day;this was waived with our upgrade but it seems exorbitant for a suburban hotel.
There is NO excuse for charging $10 a day for wifi. Even McDonalds provides free wifi.
Hotel restaurants (at both hotels) were excellent, very good food, good service, but overpriced. I know, it's the Ritz and it's Orlando but if you have a car there are multiple decent locations off site.
All in all, a good stay- pricey but worth it.

I stayed here for the weekend while attending a music concert in Orlando. Great staff, very helpful and courteous from the moment you arrive. Lived up to my expectations of what to expect at the ritz. Extremely family oriented hotel but i guess everything in Orlando is, there were kids everywhere. Great golf course and a beautiful pool.

Room Tip: Lake view rooms are nice although all have a decent view

The attentive service and consideration, luxurious surroundings, and great food make the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes my favorite place to stay in Orlando. For those of us traveling without kids, it's nice to be near Disney and not have to worry about being inundated with rowdy adolescents 24/7. That isn't to say that children aren't there, because they are and there is plenty for them to do, but it is still a nice getaway for adults. My favorite room is saved in the network and is available when I call. The food on both the JW and Ritz side is really tasty. My favorite is the blue crab salad at the spa cafe. The smoothies there are also a great treat. The views are great, the walking paths are fun, and the pool is the perfect way to spend some downtime. What really makes the Ritz stand out for me is the service. From the bellmen to the front desk staff, to those in room service and everywhere in between, you every request will be met with a smile, a can do attitude, and of course it's always "their pleasure".

I had booked a room at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes Orlando for a conference that I was attending. I arrived early in the day and since a room wasn't readily available, the staff offered to upgrade me to the Ritz-Carlton for the same price. The two hotels adjoin each other and somehow have a reciprocal agreement even though they retain separate branding. I accepted the offer since it enabled me to stay at a hotel that I ordinarily wouldn't have the opporunity to experience. The hotel is beautiful and the room was great. Loved the spacious white marble bathroom with its glass-enclosed shower. The housekeeping staff were exactly what you'd want: there when you're not. They turn down the bed and place a couple of chocolates on it before you're ready to retire. I especially liked how they set a fresh bath mat in place just outside the shower. In the morning, they remove it along with the used towels. Only during the evening turn-down does it get set in front of the shower. Otherwise, it's on the rack, so as keep the room from looking too hotel-ish and disheviled during the day. Small detail, but it somehow makes you feel pampered.

Despite the nice room and lovely foyer and common areas, I'm actually knocking a star off from my overall rating. Two years ago, I gave the JW Marriott five stars, but I'm giving the Ritz only four stars. The reason for this is that there was an upholstered chair in the room next to the balcony that had a mold issue. It may sound like I'm being overly persnickety, but mold triggers my asthma, and there's no reason that chair should have been in anybody's room. I didn't bother to complain, but they probably would have removed or replaced the chair had I asked. I simply stayed away from it.

This is a truely first class hotel. Everything about it is fabulous from check in to check out. Room service was beautifully done and actually delicious. The bed was so comfortable with plenty of good pillows. An absolute treat - yet at a reasonable price. And the staff is amazing -very friendly and helpful.
