I would like to rate this a 2.5. The lobby is nice, unfortunately it doesn't extend to the rooms. The tower room is badly in need of renovation. The view of Orlando however was great. The included breakfast was mediocre compared to other hotels' continental breakfasts: cereal & toast, and tasteless bagels. It was convenient to the convention centerand several other attractions which is why we stayed there.

I booked this room based on the Ramada name but the experience did not live up to my expectations. When we checked in the reservation clerk gave us our room keys but neglected to tell us we were not staying in this side of the hotel. We went up to the 10th floor only to discover that we had to go over to the other side of the hotel. We walked through a very smelly and hot walkway only to find out that on of the elevators was not working and that booth guests and staff had to use the same elevator. We always had to wait extended periods for the elevator which was packed. The room was adequate but in need of updating. The continental breakfast was very skimpy but was better than nothing. When checking out the clerk asked how our stay was and when I mentioned our problems with the elevators she really didn't have anything to say. If I would have been told about the problem with the elevators I would have tried to move to another room if possible. Thankfully we were only staying in Orlando for 1 night.

Reasonable for the money, with a great view onto Sand Lake. Barely a 3 star hotel though.
The rooms are in need of an upgrade... toilet not working properly, shower hanging off the wall etc. But liveable I suppose.
It is in a great location with Wet n Wild less than a 5 minute walk away and Universal a 5 min taxi ride away. The premium outlets are 10 mins away on the i-trolley and plenty of restaurants locally.
Staff at the front desk could do with a little retraining in customer service.... they are not very pleasant at times, even when asking for simple advice, they find it irritating!!!!
Breakfast is basically cereal, toast, juice, coffee/tea, little doughnut type things, some fruit and a waffle maker- where you have to stand in a queue for 20 minutes. We didn't have breakfast often! Not great.
We tried to catch the courtesy bus to Universal Studios from the hotel, but the driver of the bus was a complete ignoramus, he announced his arrival to around 20 of the guests who were going on this bus outside the hotel, he went inside the hotel, came back out a couple of minutes later and walked back to his bus and drove off!! leaving 20 or so guests very angry. All the hotel clerks did were, tell us all that "you had to be inside the hotel not outside or he won't pick you up" even though the driver knew we were all waiting-because he asked us before he went into the hotel. We told the clerks this but it fell on deaf ears, they weren't interested. We used taxis after this.
Bad service from the hotel, the least they could have done was arrange taxis for us, but not the Ramada clerks. Too much like annoyance and inconvenience for them.
The pool shut at various times at night., anywhere between 8.15pm to 9.30pm, even though it states in the hotel information pack in the hotel room that the pool closes at 10.30pm and at the pool it states it closes at "dusk". It closed far too early especially when you have kids like we do, who loved the pool. It would have been ideal to relax (after being at the parks all day) and let the kids play around in the pool for a couple of hours, Some nights the kids only got 10 minutes in the pool due to the inconsistent closing times.
As I said it is a good location but the hotel and staff would have to "up their game" a fair bit before we came back. At the moment I wouldn't recommend, Even more so if you have kids, there isn't much for them to do at night at the hotel. Could be one of the best with an upgrade and a little re-training of customer facing staff!
