Marlow's had closed early for the night, not much else was open except for listless-looking chain outlets, and we found this place. A good find it was.
We arrived pretty late - maybe 10 or 11 - on a slow weekday night. Even so, the music inside was way beyond deafening. If we'd had to eat inside, we'd have gone elsewhere. But the staff was happy to seat us at an outdoor table with benches that's something of a giant swing contraption ... and we enjoyed a great meal in the breezy Florida night.
Blackened mahi was a steal at $12.95, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the $8 quesadilla. She had Negro Modelos at $4.75, and my free-refills Pepsi was just $2.15.
Upshot: Well better than a chain Mexican restaurant, with accommodating (though not particularly inspired) service. This will be our go-to place for late meals unless it's a holiday or weekend; if the place had been full, you can tell it would've been a fearsomely noisy crowd & those outdoor seats might've been gone. Last-ditch answer in that case would be to do takeout.
This is a definite "we want to see them again on the next visit" spot.
