“Amazing hotel to spend our honeymoon in xx”
Reviewed 28 October 2012 via mobile

We stayed at Saratoga springs for two weeks, it was our honeymoon but we went with a big group of friends. On arrival we found out were in a different part of the hotel to our friends and asked if there was any possibility that we could be moved closer, it was approx 10pm bit the staff moved us with no hesitation and we ended up being in the opposite room. We also had a problem with our credit card on a shopping trip and the concierge and managers let us phone and sort it out , once again with no hesitation. The rooms are beautiful and it was lovely to have a little kitchen area and balcony :-) because we were in a large group taxis were rather expensive so quite often the bell service were always happy to take us out of the resort for a tip. The walk into downtown Disney is lovely and only takes approx 10 mins, we also used the boat service. I'd definitely recommend staying at this resort, the service is amazing xxxxxx

Stayed in Grandstand with family...really pleasant, very quiet hotel. Buses came frequently so we had no issues with that. Really enjoyed that Downtown Disney was walkable...10 minute stroll by the river once crossed the bridge. Lovely stay!

Have returned today, 26/10 from a 14 night stay at the Saratoga Springs resort, and thought it necessary to review as soon as possible so that anyone who is going there, or planning to go there is reassusred that they will not be disappointed. Cannot fault anything, accomodation, grounds, amenities, staff, recreation, pools, dining, food, you name it, it was all perfect. Stayed in a studio, room 4501 in The Paddock, overlooked the lake and fountain, was sublime, spacious and easliy accomodated the 4 of us, me, hubby and girls 14 & 8.Disney buses to all the parks ran regularly and like clockwork, bus stop was 2 minute walk form where we stayed. Only wish we were still there, so saving up now for a return visit. Thank you sooo much Disney & all at the resort for making our trip magical!

Room Tip: Room 4501, the Paddock, close to all, but yet not too close

We stayed at theTreehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa for a few nights as a guest of our son and daughter-in-law.
The units are very well decorated in heavy Craftsman style furniture and associated architectural touches. The counter tops are marble and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The master suite is very large with a spectacular bathroom, All rooms have a view of the surrounding flora. There is a large outdoor deck and stairs leading down to the walk.
On the down side this resort is very remote and the only transportation is either a bus or boat to the parent Saratoga Springs resort. You can also take the boat to Downtown Disney.
This means that any trips to the other parks will require going to Saratoga Springs and then transferring to another bus or by driving your car. Finally, the lack of a guard at the entrance of the Treehouse Villas makes it impossible for friends or family to visit without a ticketed person come down to let them in.
This is a comfortable resort that requires a little planning for trips to the parks and restaurants.

This resort is unlike the others on property. Much more laid back feel and spread out. Just be aware that if you don't have a car, you will have to walk to the main areas and bus stops. We've stayed in the Paddocks and Congress Park areas on two occasions, and both experiences were lovely. It is not as rowdy as some of the more densely packed resorts so people are not on top of each other. The walkers and joggers start their day by 6am taking advantage of how spread out this resort is. There's a walkway leading you to Downtown Disney area (stay in Congress Park if you want to be close to this walkway) that can lengthen your jog to up to 7-8 miles without getting bored of your surroundings. (Great place to stay in the summer if you happen to be training for a fall marathon). The hotel management can't be more accommodating and friendly. Yes, you have to take out your own trash (unless you're a renter and not booking under timeshare), but the receptacles are in each building. The bell hop and concierge are always ready and willing to help provided you follow their guidelines of calling ahead and booking their services early. If you're resort-hopping during your vacation, they will even transfer your luggage to the next Disney property resort on the day you transfer out. This resort recently underwent a "soft goods" renovation, where draperies, bedspreads, upholstery, and carpets were replaced. You will see the Fox and Hound/equestrian theme throughout if you look closely. All the televisions have been replaced by flat screens a while back, but they kept the old tv armoires, I guess because of the drawer space underneath. Sofa beds are quite comfortable, too. There's no spring up your back when you sleep. Pools are well spread out for families as well, although if you want to be near the main pool, ask to stay in the Springs area. Kids are invited to make smores every evening by the firepit in the Springs area, too. All in all, it was a great stay, and nothing we didn't expect from Disney.

Room Tip: If you like peace and quiet, ask for Paddocks, or Grandstand. If you like the main action (high roc...

We have stayed at other Disney resorts, this one is not a favorite. Our other choices were booked due to a giant convention. The area is lovely but very large and you do waste some of your precious Disney time riding on the bus unless you want to go to the Market Place which is right across the lake. If you are staying at Congress Park the bus ride through the resort comes on your return trip and you can easily walk to the Market Place.

We chose a studio room as there were three in our party. I should have checked the sofa bed right away to see if it was made as I have read other comments that this was neglected. So we ended up making up the sofa bed after a long and tiring day. We did have a good stay but will not choose this resort in the future.

Room Tip: I would stay on an upper floor. Would have liked to go out on the patio without the possibility of c...
