On my annual pilgrimage to Orlando (business trade show) I was looking for a new steakhouse to try. I asked my nephew who lives in Orlando for "a place you have wanted to go but couldn't afford".
Well we met and had a couple of drinks, then dinner. I ordered New York, sister ordered Filet Oscar Style and nephew ordered Lamb Chops. My sister was happy with the Filet but after tasting everyone's said New York was the best. I don't like lamb but tried a bite - didn't have that strong lamb taste - it was really good. But I stuck with my New York and enjoyed about half of it - why? - because it was so dang big.
I was relaying a story to my sister about a steakhouse in another city and a guy clearing the table next to us interrupted and asked if we were talking about Kres - I responded with "heck no, the steak here is by far superior" - we got talking. Low and behold it is the General Manager. He was very pleased with my ravings about the food (but in all honesty the mashed potatoes were a bit stiff) -
Had their signature bread pudding for dessert - wonderful - but between my sister and I we managed about 2/3rds of it. Was WAAYY TOO FULL
I have to say this has been THE BEST meal I have had in Orlando.
