“Our Go-To-Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

One of my favorite places to eat. They have a super tasty ahi tuna starter, a wonderful crispy fish sandwich, a marvelous aged pork chop, a delightfully home-style chicken pot pie and more. I have enjoyed everything I have tried on the menu. The staff is very polite and personable. Go to Stonewood, you wont be disappointed.

“The food was good but not great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

I would have expected more from this restaurant judging by the outside and inside. It looks the part, but it is strange that a number of little issues didn't help get it into the better than average category. The atmosphere was a good mix of light, noise and privacy.

Drinks. My party (2) had no alcohol drinks but the other party (2) did. The drinks seemed fine and there was just a little wait for the drinks. We had water with lemon. The interesting thing was we were half way thru the water before the lemon showed up. I would have expected both at the same time.

The bread was excellent, however the amount of butter provided was just sufficient for 1 person. To their credit they did bring another serving of butter when additional bread was requested. It was a shame that great hot bread was not fully enjoyed because 2 teaspoons of butter was provided for 4 people. The pretzel bread was obscenely good. The other roll provided was "just" a plain roll. But I noticed they also disappeared quickly.

The main course for most of us (3) was a "burger" that tasted great. This burger is without a doubt a "2-hander". It would have been very hard to use a knife and fork. The issue was everyone got rare no matter what they ordered (rare, medium and medium rare). The other issue I had with the burger (I ordered rare) was that the bun/burger ration was out of sorts. Mostly bun and mostly top bun. Looked great, but proved a real problem for everyone trying to finish the burger without wearing it. The bottom bun was both too small and too thin. The meat flooded the bun and the bottom bun disintegrated. I find that if making this type of burger it is very helpful to put the cheese on the bottom to prevent this "meltdown". The taste was great and a good balance of flavors that did not over-run the taste of the very flavorful beef. The amount of cheese was also very balanced. The bun just made it actual exercise opening and closing your mouth.

The chicken pot pie was great. (As I was told). Very tasty, warm to hot and one of the most inexpensive items... maybe great for a family item.

They remembered to offer desert, but we had to ask for coffee and extra drinks.
The server was seemed competent and the manager stopped by (always a good thing to see they are interested). The evening ended up being about $30 each (with 20% tip in the $30).

The location is good. Very easy to get there. Parking was just a tad tight but acceptable.

“Execellent Food and Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Arrived 30 minutes prior to reservation and were seated immediately. The blue cheese chips are amazing and the sweet tea is perfect. Husband had the ground chuck w/mashed potatoes and loved it, Son had the grouper sandwich which would have actually made 2 sandwiches, while I had the Bow-tie blackened chicken pasta. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and paired very well with the sauce. Another great thing were the bread and pretzel sticks served with butter. Would never have thought to use butter on soft pretzel bread but it was great.
We will definitely return as this was a perfect meal!

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2014 via mobile

We had visited Stonewood Grill in Ormond Beach two years ago. The great memory still lingers in our minds as one of the best restaurants we have dined at while on vacation. We decided to try Stonewood in Orlando while vacationing this year. They did not let us down! The food and service were exceptional! Definitely a place you shoul try!!

“Good food and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2014 via mobile

Great welcome on arrival. Plenty of choice on the menu. I had the Mahi Mahi with crab which was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Others on the table had salmon, steak and pork rib which they all enjoyed - clean plates tell the story.

Eric looked after us really well.
