We exchanged our timeshare for 'The Fountains' and was very happy with the site.It is on the quiet end of International Drive , very near a food store,Publix, i think. Also a Outback, and McD.The outlet stores are across the street from McDonalds, which are all about a quarter mile away. The suite had 2 bedrooms and tv area and full kitchen. We were on the 6th floor and had a nice view of fireworks at nite from Disney and Seaworld. The pool was huge and it also had a bar area near it. The grounds were kept up daily.
The staff was helpful for info and they usually had a printout of what you asked for, directions, ect.You can also buy tickets for all the attractions in the lobby.
I was told of a timeshare meeting in morning with breakfast, but we didnt go and was not bothered about it during the week.
It wasnt busy the week we were there because I think most kids were still in school, so we had a very quiet time there.loved it...
FYI, as you drive north , the traffic gets really bad but thats where most of the action is.
We did Cape Kennedy one day and it is a must see...Its only about 36 miles away. And take the bus ride to various sites there, its very interesting.38 dollars for adults, kids ,I dont remember..
mine are on their own now......
We also went to Universal Studios, we had a good time.food was good too.
Overall, we would go back, but theres dozens of places to go, and we are not getting younger.Have a great vacation.......

Great two bedroom condo with common area for Orlando stay. If traveling with two couples, you can not beat the value for a high class facility. Great amenities, Nice living room/kitchen with granite counter tops. Also has laundry and tub in master bathroom. All new facility. Even while under construction in April 08, still comfortable. Highly recommended.

We stayed at The Fountains 9th May to 23rd May, we hired a car which we found the easiest way to get to all the theme parks, which were about a 15/20min drive either side of The Fountains, although Sea world, Wet n Wild & Discovery Cove are very close by. We have 2 children 9 yrs & 11yrs old. We found the apartments to be very spacious, clean & comfortable and they were lovely to come home to after a long day spent at the parks. The kids loved having their own room, they had a good sized bedroom with 2 lovely comfy beds & their own tv & a bathroom off their room. We had a lovely sized bedroom with ensuite & a jacuzzi bath in the bedroom. The kitchen was a good size, fully equipped & it was an added bonus having a washing machine & dryer. The new pool is great, the kids loved it on the days we took off from going to the parks & the bar & grill just opened the day we left (bummer!). The Fountains is on the quiet side of International Drive, which we found great after a busy & noisy day at the theme parks. We found the staff to be very helpful, you do have to pay for your room to be cleaned but we didn't find this a problem. We had no sales pitch either, just lots of messages left on the phone about what was happening around the resort. We also made use of the barbeque grills which are all around the resort. There is music played in the new pool, we didn't find this a problem & we couldn't hear it from our apartment, which was in building 8, one of the closest buildings to the pool. My only problem was not having had enough time to spend around this lovely resort! If we ever get to come to Orlando again we would love to come back here.

Great location & very very nice property. It would have been perfect except the piped in music. The music starts at 9:00AM sharp & goes until 8:00PM. It is through bose speakers set in the landscaping all throughout the property & it is like one of those cars with the bass thumping. We visited Disney & came back to rest late in the day- "IMPOSSIBLE" The speaker was right outside of my room & the windows rattled & the room vibrated. I went to the fountains because it came accross as a laid back resort & wanted to get away from loud & obnoxious noises. I am an avid die hard music fan but it was just to much.

DROP & THE MUSIC & IT WILL BE PERFECT!!!!! LISTEN TO YOUR GUESTS!!!!!!!!

We stayed at the Fountains the week of June 7-14th. I was a little apprehensive about the stay after reading some of the other reviews regarding stolen items and major sales pitches but we had no problems at all. There are safes in the rooms and the guards that you see when you drive on to the property are very friendly and helpful. There were four in our party, two adults and two kids ages 3 and 6. The rooms were perfect for a party of that size but for us would be cramped with more. We booked our stay through Bluegreen corporation and had only one mention of doing a time share presentation. After we told them we were not interested there was nothing mentioned about it again. We stayed there for the location of going to the parks which was perfect for us. Very short drive to Sea world and Disney. We only had one good day to spend at the pool which has a great spot for kids to play and our kids loved the water slide. The only other times we were able to go to the pool was at night after going to the parks. The main pool stayed open until 9 and the pool at the check in spot stayed open until 10. The resort leaves you messages on your phone daily to let you know of the activities they have that you can sign up for. There seemed to be plenty of activities you could sign up for but we were there to visit the parks so we had no time for any of those things. I would say this is a great place for families and a great location if you want to visit Disney. We had no problems what so ever and were very pleased with our stay.

The Fountains appeared promising from the reviews and the glamorous website, however my high expections were not met. Both pools were closed for an entire evening of our first night even though the rainstorms were quickly over and the sky was now sunny. Since we had no other plans that evening besides our failed attempt at swimming, we stayed in our room to enjoy the amenities, but kept coming across our very dirty feet. In order to solve the mystery, my boyfriend ended up mopping all of the floors in the room, which included two bathrooms, a kitchen, and hallway. Amazingly, our feet remained clean the rest of the week:). I also had the joy of cleaning all the dishes in the room...it was beginning to feel like home! I was also annoyed at the advertisements for hotel wi-fi which would have ended up being quite costly if I hadn't inquired prior to logging on since I was just seeing signs everywhere but no mention of cost. Also, beaware of the frequent attempts to sell you a timeshare. Upon arriving, in order to get your required parking pass, you have to listen to a sales talk about signing up for another sales talk. There are also daily (often frequent) messages left on your answering machine regarding timeshares (but at least the phone does not ring). In the end, my best advice is to stay at the resort to the left of The Fountains. We have stayed there numerous times without complaint...the rooms are cleanner, bigger, and no saleSTALKS!

  • Liked — The pools once they actually opened, but be wary of any clouds in the sky:)

Rated as excellent, not because it is luxurious but because it is good value for money and was exactly what we expected and needed, and trust me I'm fussy! My brother in law stayed here last year and recommended it as a base from which to do the theme parks. He was so right. This is perfect for a family.

We where a party of 5 with the children ranging from 17 to 3. This place ticked all the boxes in terms of entertainment and accomodation. Everyone had there own space and no one was board.

ROOMS
Excellent size for a family, not cramped or on top of each other at all. Master bedroom has queen size bed (no the sheets don't fit but there is a trick to it) with a jacuzzi in the main room (excellent after a day round the parks with a beer) and seperate shower room. 2nd bedroom had two double beds and ensuite bathroom (bath with shower over). The living area has plenty of space, with a good balcony, and brilliantly a laundry room (cupboard) with washer & dryer (no none of us want to do washing on holday but I have to admit it was useful). They are not luxurious but better than most european standards and very clean. There is no daily maid service but a complete clean (we had one half way through our 2 week stay) is £12.50- and actually they forgot to add it to the bill at the end of the stay.

Clothes storage was just OK for 5 people (bearing in mind 4 of us are female!)

TV in every room, good range of chanels (DVD player does not play european DVDs). Stereo in main living area. Games console chargeable.

FACILITIES
Both pools are good, the larger one (with slides) good in the daytime & the smaller (indoor/outdoor) in the evening (cos the water is so warm). Only ate at the pool bar once (Wakola Grill) and it was fine. Prices for drinks & food reasonable. A few little play areas for the younger kids. Constant entertainment for the children which we hardly used (because we where out and about, but when did use was good). Good clean gas BBQs next to each block - we used it once & was really good. Sandy sitting areas around the lake. Small on site shop where you can get a British paper.

LOCATION
Although on I-Drive, as with most places in the states, you had to drive everywhere! Good location for Disney (10-15 minutes) & Seaworld (2 mins) & Universal (10-15 mins). 20 minutes from airport. Publix supermarket round the corner (on Vineland) was good. We ate on I-Drive most nights - good selection of resteraunts 5 mins away (in the car!).

SERVICE/STAFF
Was very good, check in straight forward (as was check out), staff friendly but not over the top. No one tried to sell us anything!

CRITISCISMS
Check out is 10am we did manage to get it extended to 11am.
Music starts pumping round the resort (not mega loud) at 9am, just when my 3 year old discovered lie ins!

Would definately go back ,and spend more time at the resort itself. One of our only regrets was that we did not feel we had made the most of the complex.
