We were a group of three adults and two kids for a three night stay for a wedding in downtown Orlando, though I will certainly keep this resort in mind when we visit Disney World the next time. We stayed in a 3-bedroom unit 2 bath unit, fireworks view (building 5, room 51102).

Cons: The traffic during "rush hour" when everyone was heading to Disney World could get really bad on S. Apopka/Vineland Rd, but I think that was aggravated by the presence of Tropical Storm Debby so it is hard to tell if that is regular traffic or particularly bad with the storm. Parking was limited if we arrived back at the resort late in the evening, but we could always find street parking directly in front of the building. The turn into the resort is a street called "LBV Factory Stores Drive" which doesn't show up on GPS or Google Maps. :) We had family staying at the nearby Hilton Downtown Disney, and because the building access requires a key code for safety, each time they visited us, someone would have to meet them downstairs to let them in.

Pros: The location is two intersection turns to Disney World. It is convenient to I-4, International, World Drive, Publix, and Walmart. The on-site restaurant (the Irish pub) had decent food with large portions at a fair price. Their food delivery was quick. The kids liked going down to the pool and eating at the pool side cafe for their breakfast bagel. The Pizza Hut on site is very quick with delivery.

Even though we encountered a tropical storm, our kids had a wonderful time at the arcade to pass the time since the roads from the storm made traveling treacherous. The arcade is on the small side, and the games quickly eat up $$$, but our kids (under 8) had a great time playing there.

When the rain let up, they enjoyed the hot tubs, the pools, and especially the pirate ship slide. We thought the pirate ship was a climbing water feature, but it turns out just to be a slide. The lifeguards allowed our 4 year old who didn't meet the age or height requirements to slide down because he's a proficient swimmer.

We had two issues that required maintenance which was there very quickly. Once, our 4 year old locked one of the bedroom doors. We figured out later that we could just use a kitchen knife to unlock the door. The second time a toilet was not flushing properly. Maintenance resolved that right away as well. The service was fantastic!

The unit clean, well furnished with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, stove, microwave. There was also a small washer/dryer unit. I would recommend driving to the Publix or Walmart to pick up necessities and skip the convenience store on site. The Walmart is 3 minutes drive, and it would take us 3 minutes to walk to the convenience store in another building. I can't remember if the stove was an oven unit as well. Since we stayed only three days, we did not need housekeeping during our stay.

Overall - we enjoyed having the space. A 3 bedroom unit can easily accomodate up to 10 people if needed as there were 2 double beds, 1 queen, 1 sofa pull out, and 1 king bed. The jacuzzi tub in the master was very large with a separate shower. My only complaint about the master bath was the lack of towel racks outside of the one in the shower stall. Otherwise, I would recommend this resort to anyone.

We came back from our holiday at The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa yesterday and we had an absolutley fantastic time there. There were 7 of us in our party and we stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment in Building 1, it was plenty big enough for all of us with 2 double bedrooms and 1 with 2 single beds the and a double pull out bed in the living room, the main bedroom included a whirl pool bath, huge walk in shower, double sinks, a toilet and a walk in wardrobe, all the bedrooms had tv's in as well as in the living room, there was a separate bathroom and fully equiped kitchen with full size cooker and microwave, dish washer and a massive fridge freezer, there was also a washing machine and tumble dryer, ironing board, iron and hoover, more than enough plates, cups, glasses and all the utensils you could possibly need. We didn't have the maid service, but if you wanted it you could pay extra for it, we were supplied with one small box of washing powder which did one wash and enough dishwasher powder for 2 washes. The room also has air conditioning and a safe and you don't pay extra for the use of either of them. There is a small shop on the resort it is quite expensive so we tended to go to Walmart which is literally 5 minutes down the road. The hotel staff are friendly and will help you with anything you need. There are 2 pools one with a pirate ship in it, and a hot tub and another quieter pool we didn't use the pools much as we were out at the parks from morning til night most days. I had read reviews about this hotel before we went and a lot had commented on the parking facilities, we didn't have any problems parking our 15 seater close to where our apartment was. The Irish pub is quite good we didn't spend much time there but we did have a meal there and the food and service was very good, a little more expensive than if you go elsewhere off the resort, the fish and chips is really nice there and cost about $15 which is about £10. Its location for Dsney, Universal, Sea World, Aquatica and the other water parks is very good , you can easily reach these parks in 10 to 15 minutes as you are located within 5 minutes of the Interstate 4, the hotel provides a daily bus service to all the parks you just book your place a day in advance thats if you havn't hired a car, or just don't want to drive as the parking charges at the parks are quite a lot, it costs $14 or $15 a day to park but you can pay at one Disney park and then visit another on the same day with your parking ticket and not pay its the same for Universal. Overall we had a fantastic holiday here and will definatley be going back.

We stayed here in July 2010 for 3 weeks in a 3 bedroomed villa with my sister and her family.
I was disappointed by its size - the kitchen and living area was alot smaller than we are used to staying at Cypress Pointe Grande Villas. We were also surprised that it was further away from Disney and took us longer to get to the Disney parks by car than CPG Villas.
We checked all the reviews before coming and expected better from this resort, especially because it was more expensive.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, don't get me wrong, but for the money - would rather stay at Cypress Pointe in future.
The kids really enjoyed the pool area and we could watch them from our bedroom window, which overlooked it. We could also see the fireworks from Seaworld in the distance.
Overall a nice place to stay, but probably won't go back.

We were moved hotels as ours wasnt ready and so had no expectations. We were placed in a 2 bed apartment which was fantastic. Full amenities from dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer to whirlpool bath in the master bedroom - fab after a day in Disney. The location is great for Disney only a 5 minute drive or a free shuttle from reception. A great relaxation pad in the evening if you plan to spend your days in Disney.

Room Tip: A pool view room is fantastic otherwise you may be overlooking a car park on your balcony.
