“Wonderful Family Vacation”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

After reading several reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about our reservations for the week of the 4th at this hotel. Once we arrived, all apprehensions were totally dismissed! Our 1 br suite was wonderful! I read several reviews of dirty rooms, outdated decor, worn or broken furniture, but this certainly wasn't a problem for us. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped nicely with plenty of cookware and dinnerware. The king-size bed was comfortable, the shower was great, comfortable furniture in the living room and the decor was nice. There were some signs of general wear throughout the suite, but nothing extreme or displeasing. The pools were very nice with plenty of seating. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially Matt at check-in. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful experience during our stay!

This was the first time we had ever stayed off of the WDW property and it was worth it. The Lake Buena Vista Resort Villages and Spa was located to everything and anything you could think of. We were minutes from Disney and minutes from Wal-Mart, Target, Olive Garden and other shopping and eating establishments. They have a great pool, pool bar and grounds. Clean spacious and a friendly place to stay. I highly recommend it if you want to see more than just Disney.

ROOMS
The room we had provided a full kitchen, living room dining room two full bathrooms and two full bedrooms. the in-laws were travelling with us and we never felt crowded. The furniture is a little dated but the appliances were all new as well as the TV.

We had a balcony that faced Disney on the 10th floor so every night we could see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.

POOL
The greatest ammenity this resort has. It is big, clean and apparently some one left a very large Pirate Ship parked in the pool. The Pool Bar is awsome with great food and drinks, especially the Rum Punch!

PROXIMITY
We rented a Kia Sedona and we brought a child seat from home. It is required in FLorida and it was cheaper that renting one for $10.00 per day. We were no more than a 10 minutes drive to all the parks and downtown Disney. We were also very close to restraunts and shopping.

STAFF
Absoultely wonderful. They were always willing to help and went above and beyond any requests we made. We did not pay for the room cleaning service, but house keeping provided us with what ever we needed when asked.

Blossom at the from desk was extremely helpful from check in to check out. She is an asset to the organization.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.

Room Tip: Choose the Fireworks Rooms from the 10th floor and higher.

My husband, 4 year old daughter and I stayed at the Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa in May 2014, for one week. We wanted a hotel close to theme parks that wouldn't break the bank. This hotel was ideal. After reading other tripadvisor reviews, we requested a room in the newest building, but no rooms were available. The hotel, instead, upgraded our room in another building. It was spacious and clean and well worth the money. Everything from the room layout to the conveniences included, made our stay enjoyable. Our daughter loved the Pirate Ship pool and has been asking to go back. I will say that when we first arrived I thought the resort looked a little like a boring apartment complex, but it was very user friendly. We had to walk a little farther to get to the pool, but that just gave us more time to enjoy the warm, Florida sunshine. The staff was very helpful. My only teeny issue was that it took about an hour to get a baking pan delivered to our room. (There wasn't one in our room when we checked in.)
Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay here, and would recommend it to others. It is ideal for a budget-conscious family-vacation.

Room Tip: We were in building 3 on the 6th floor. We didn't have any issues with this building, although i...

Stayed here while visiting Disney World. Location is great, right across the street from Downtown Disney. Also, hotel is right off the bus line. We saved money almost $100 by taking the city bus to/from the airport instead of a taxi. Shuttle service to/from parks were reliable, but often overcrowded. The shuttle service is shared with other hotels along the way. My daughter loved the arcade and the pool area. There is a nice poolside cafe that sells good food and drinks. We attended one of the character meals in the main restaurant. The characters didn't spend much time at each table, but the food was decent. We booked under a promo that gave us a decent size room credit. Overall, we got way more "bang for our buck" staying here rather than a Disney hotel.

This is the third time we have stayed at this resort, every time for 21 nights, so obviously we enjoy this particular resort. This year we stayed in a three bed roomed apartment before in a two. We find it very central for all the parks. The only thing negative to us is the breakfast on offer but plenty of other restaurants close by.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 6 times, and it continues to get better with every stay. The rooms are exceptionally clean and so well appointed. They are spacious enough to have friends in or just relax and enjoy. The staff is some of the best I have come across. They know their jobs but are also fun, helpful and professional on every shift. If you are looking for a great vacation experience you would do yourself a favor by choosing this Resort.

Pros:
The rooms were huge.
Kitchen and washing machine.
Good price.
The pool was great and towels were provided.
Decent location.

Cons:

Complicated check in process. Had to get parking pass at a different desk, so we had to wait in 2 separate lines at a very busy time.

While our room was ready ahead of time, I was in the lobby at check-in time, and several parties were told there room wouldn't be ready until an hour and a half after the quoted check-in time.

I requested and was given a late check-out time (only an extra hour) but all our room keys stopped working at the original check-out time. Very inconvenient when you're trying to make multiple trips to the car with your things, especially when you expect they'll still work.

You have to pay extra for having the room cleaned, even simply a towel refresh and trash take away. And they have signs in the rooms telling you how much towels and sheets are if there are any missing. That didn't really give me that welcoming feel I would like from a resort.
