“Very pleasant stay”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

Was a pleasant and clean place to stay. Plenty parking. We were at the parks most days so didn't visit the pool often. Not much to do but to be fair we didn't really look for any entertainment etc as we were doing the parks most days and were exhausted at night. Only down side was cleaning wasn't included so if you wanted this you had to request and pay extra but this could be standard for all accommodation in orlando area as this was our first vista. Flat had everything we needed. Everything was in good working order.

Overall sastified. Would recommend updating their furniture that"s located in the rooms (Resort) but would stay there again. Very pleased with the overall stay and would recommend to anyone who's planning a trip to Orlando.

Loved this great property! The location was perfect, the staff was very personable and friendly! We stayed here before and returned a few months later. Rooms are modern and clean and the grounds are too. Only downfall was parking...We had a tough time finding parking and had to park pretty far from our building.

Oh boy, where do we start. After around 22 hours of travelling we were a little beat, however I had emailed before advising that we wouldn't make it to the property until around 1:30am. No worries. Room all sorted with specific instructions that we would be checking in late. We were given a lovely room on Level 9 in Building 3. We walked into the room (an how often do you hear this?) but the rooms were better than online. It was the perfect start to a 12 day vacation. We fell into bed and had a great sleep.

Next morning wandered over to the on site supermarket for supplies for breakfast. The wife is a caeliac so we needed a bigger supermarket. No worries Walmart is 5 mins down the road. Give the cabbie $10.00. Loaded our cab up with heaps of supplies at about half as what we pay here in Australia. Breakfast sorted. Kitchen just the same as we have at home easy to use. All the appliances needed and cleaning equipment. We got the apartment fully cleaned once whilst we were there. $32.00 tax inclusive.. Wow!!! Can I get your team to clean our apartment at home once a week for that price? Well done team.

There's a couple of lovely pools on site and we visited the Irish pub a few times for some authentic Irish/English food. Bangers and mash was my favourite. There's is also a Pizza Hut but don't do gluten free unfortunately. Check out the factory warehouse next door for some good cheap shopping. We got some great bargains.

Taxi fares: Disney is about $20.00 which includes the tip and Universal Studios is $30.00. There is also a shuttle bus service to both Disney & Universal Studios. Just check the website for times.

Special thanks to Eric & Nathally for all their help during our stay. We'll be back !!

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the pool

This was our 2nd time and despite requesting several times before arrival for a high floor quiet room we were placed in the smallest height building overlooking the next building this meant when people were shouting from there balcony in early hours of morning it was disturbing. One of the bathrooms is infested with some insects and we're still waiting for this to be resolved.

After reading some of the reviews on here, I was a little worried as we booked a 10 day stay. But our 2 room suite was very clean, nicely laid out, kitchen was filled with plates, cups, silverware, appliances, baking and cooking pans, trial sized soaps, towels, hot pad, etc. The bathrooms were very clean, plenty of toiletries. We rented a two room suite because we thought our son might join us, he didn't, but it was nice to have the space and the second bathroom.

We brought a wireless router and Roku and so we were able to watch Netflix. The hotel WiFi was also good for the iPads.

We loved the big walk in shower and the Jacuzzi tub.

We stayed in building three, which had a nice view of the pirate themed pool. There was plenty of seating there, which I like a lot because a lot of hotels do not have enough. We didn't have any kids, but that part of the pool looked fun.

The hotel is no more than 15 minutes from either the Disney parks or Universal. Even after fourth of July fireworks at Epcot, we were back to our hotel in 10 minutes.

We ate twice at Frankie Farrell's, both times the food and service were very good and reasonably priced.
We shopped for snacks at the convenience store, which had the usual convenience store prices and friendly staff.

Check in and check out were both easy. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

The hotel was quiet overall other than some rude door slamming. We did not hear anyone else while in our room.

This is not about the hotel, but since this restaurant is not listed on Tripadivsor, I'll put it here.
At least 2 pizza places a day put menus under our door. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES order from Brooklyn Pizza. We ordered a sub, an antipasto salad, and garlic bread. It took 45 minutes--excusable, But when we got our order the salad (my dinner) was not in the bag. We called, they said they'd get it right out to me. Okay, mistakes happen. But then my husband opened his "ham and cheese sub". It was the size of a hot dog roll with chopped up ham like you would put on a pizza--for $8. When my salad came 45 minutes LATER, it was lettuce and tomato--NOTHING else--for $8. I was furious. We called, they offered to bring another-no thanks, but otherwise showed no concern. Then I went on Yelp and saw that two other people had the EXACT same problems. Pick another place! The pizza place across from Walmart is good.
