Spent 3 weeks in the Lake Buena vista village resort and spa. We had 2 bed pool view appartment and it was fabulous, Everything you need. When we arrived to check in, the staff were friendly and courtious. The kitchen had all you needed exept enough utensils, contacted reception and within 10 mins we were given everything we wanted. The master bed had the biggest jacuzzi bath...."brill", twin sinks, shower room, toilet, king size bed and tv. Room 2 had 2 queen beds, tv and bathroom off it with shower. Living room / dining room had a table, 4 chairs, couch, coffee table, 55" plasma tv and balcony(with pool view).
The pool was the biz, ship with waterslide, mushrooms and water jets. The slide was great for adults and kids and has a little suprise that you dont expect the first time you use it. The pool towels were a little on the small side, but you could use as many as you want and they never ran out. Pool bar was also great, Good food and drink at reasonible prices. The bar staff were brilliant and could not be more friendly and helpful, In particular, I would like to mention Bob the barman who was the best. Frankie farrells irish bar had good food and sport coverage at the bar. The shop was handy but a little expensive.
Location, factory outlets nextdoor, Nike, Gap, etc. Check out world of coffee for english newspapers and great coffee. Walmart accross the road ( dont walk ). Disney 10 min drive, universal 15 min, seaworld 15 min and wet and wild ( much better than Aquatica) 15 min. To get the most out of the vacation you will need a car, Shuttles are good but the freedom a car gives is hard to beat. Each Building has ample parking and 2 floors of indoor parking.
If you are going to orlando do not go past this Place. We will be back.................

I would stay here again but only if I could be guaranteed one of the two taller buildings. I think they are building 3 pool view only and building 5 either view. We were building 1, the one that has the arcade, gym, pizza hut, and frankie farrell's pub. We had a 3 bedroom 3 bath unit. Our room faced the outlet so our view was of the roof of the outlets. The light from the outlets at night was a bit annoying when you are used to sleeping in complete darkness. There are no curtains, only blinds in all rooms but living room. At 5 in the morning, several mornings we were there, the trash truck picked up trash, so noisy. We didn't have any flat screen tv's like advertised, just normal box tv's. I thought the building had a funky smell, as well as the room. The carpet was stained and turned our socks and the bottoms of our feet black. The refrigerator and safe were not working properly and took all our first day to get fixed, I thought they could at least offer us another room. I am not a big alcohol drinker but I do like an occasional pina colada from olive garden or red lobster. I thought the mixed drinks from the pool bar were not very good, probably the type of blender used, very watery tasting, but then I only tried the pina colada and the banana smoothie. I also tried the fruit tray from the pool bar and didn't like it either. Those were the only 3 things we tried at the pool bar. There was also good things about this hotel. The pool area was the best I have ever experienced. On the zero entry side of the pirate ship pool area you can put your chair in the water and sit and relax, my favorite thing to do while there, well next to eating pizza from the pizza hut express, it was delicious. The pirate ship slide was also tons of fun. The whirlpool tub in the room was amazing and there is a light in the tub that changes color, so pretty. The resort is very close to dowtown disney and the parks.

If you are looking to get what you paid for in your reservation do not stay here or at any other Sky Resorts for that matter. We were on vacation traveling with family and friends and made the reservation at this resort because we needed to have a 4 bedroom suite. This reservation was made and paid for in advance but when we arrived to check into our room it was not available! Not sure how that happens but apparently this is a common practice for this resort as there were 2 other families in the lobby having the same problem. Oh and we were offered free housekeeping for our inconvienence!

This was our 3rd visit to Florida and we can say it was definatly the best, we stayed form the 28th July till the 11th August.
The hotel was huge, the sat nav we got tried to send us the wrong way (it was an old one given by Alamo) the room was a 2 bed 2 bath condo facing the pool in block 1 above reception, geat view of the pool and surrounding countryside.
great never having to go early to reserve a sun bed, their was always plent available no matter what time of day you went (also good not to have to take towels or pay for beds!)
we went straight to Walmart across the road on first day and stocked up on grocerys and snacks we ate out most nights but the prices have definatly gone up from previous years, it cost between $54 and $80 dollars depending on were you ate for a family of 4 which is roughly the same as eating out in England.
We would definalty stay here again as it is local for everything, parks, food and great facilities.
Although I have looked at next year's prices and with First choice it has gone up by £900 for a family of four!

Stayed for 2 weeks late July/early August. Easy to find from Sanford Airport and fantastic locations for all the parks. 2 bed room on 14th floor with wonderful views, especially of the fireworks at night. Courteous and helpful staff - had a problem with our safe on the first day and was fixed within 10 mins of reporting it. The swimming pool (pirate ship) was always clean and safe for younger children. Did'nt use the fitness rooms as always to busy! Only small drawback was parking - if you arrived late back the inside car park was full and the bys outside where full - you had to park on the street which felt unsafe.
Will be there again early 2011!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We got a great deal on the room rate and never had to spend a dime eating out as the full kitchen provided us with all the tools needed for a home cooked meal. That was ideal for us as we are a large family. We stayed in a 3/BR 2 BATH suite with sofa bed. The view was breathtaking. Great location. Master bedroom is unbelievable (has a jacuzzi - fits 2). What we loved the most was the comfort of home feeling, tv's in everyroom, beautiful huge pool with a Pirate ship smack dab in the middle (used only as a water slide). What I liked least was having to park a little further away than I would have liked as I was in building 1 on top of the Irish Pub and parking was scarce every night. Also, couldn't enjoy the pool as I wanted to because it mostly rained. Oh, and the other thing that I did not like was a fire alarm going off in the middle of our first night we had to get out of bed and wait for the Fire Dept to come and turn it off. We never received an explanation from anyone about it. But, overall an excellent place to stay. I still highly recommend.

The condo we stayed in was amazing. The master bedroom had a jacuzzi tub and a large walk in shower. Very roomy and very clean. The location can't be beat. We found a shortcut to Disney that had us parked in 4 minutes!!! Great if your playing ball at Disney Sports complex. The swimming pool is the best and biggest we have ever enjoyed. If and when we go back to Disney, this is were we will stay!
