Our family stayed this past weekend as part of the FPEA Convention. Since this is a new hotel for this particular convention, I was skeptical at first. However, everything about our stay was nothing short of amazing. Upon check in, there was a slight mix up with our room reservation. However, it was promptly and courteously dealt with. We were even offered a room upgrade, which was awesome. After arriving in our room, the woman who checked us in called to make sure everything was ok with our accomodations. Whenever we needed anything, such as extra blankets or a roll away, someone showed up within 15 minutes. Other places I've stayed, they either didn't show up at all, or it took forever. We slept like rocks...the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and we didn't hear anything. The entire property was clean (I mean really clean), and the staff were genuinely friendly. I was surprised to find that the restaruants in the hotel were affordable...we had anticipated having to go off property for our family of five to have dinner. Since the restaurants were affordable, we were able to try out several of the hotel restaurants throughout our stay, and didn't have to go off property to eat one time. All the restaurants were delicious, but our favorite was Tobias. Our favorite staff member was Juan, in Headwaters. He was a hoot, and it was evident he enjoys his job. Our kids enjoyed the movies each night by the pool, as well as the nature trail that weaves behind the property. I loved that there were several cozy nooks and crannies to sit in throughout the hotel...I loved getting up early and having my coffee in the beautiful area that overlooks the pool. I can't wait to come back for the FPEA Convention next year, and maybe even before then.
