CityWalk is a wild and happening place at night, and by day a crowded and vibrant walkway to the two parks.

Easily reached by bus, cab, or shuttle, CityWalk is a great way to begin your Universal adventure.

Upon arriving, escalators or an elevator will take you up to the moving walkways. Be prepared to have your bags checked by a security guard first.

Once inside, ride the 2 walkways to the CityWalk. Hungry? Thirsty? Restaurants abound. Our favorite is Margaritaville with its great cheeseburgers and frozen lime margaritas. But there are many to choose from.

Avoid the restaurants at night after the parks close if you hate
line-ups.

Besides restaurants, you will find clothing stores and an abundance of themed kiosks like the one selling Big Bang T-shirts and souvenirs.

CityWalk is a great was to kick off your park adventure. We went on the night we arrived; gives you a chance to get oriented and you can spec out walking distance to the parks.

Want a great shot of the Walk? Wait until evening and shoot when everything is lit up and the lights are reflected in the lake.

CityWalk is a great value, very close by shuttle bus or cab to the resort hotels, and offers way more food options than your resort hotel.

This year was my second visit to CityWalk since 2008. It was great then as it is now. Go get the refillable daiquiri cups at Fat Tuesday and just walk around, you won't regret it.

Not as good as Downtown Disney but a similar theme. Large cinema, loads of places to eat and drink and shops too. Not that busy, you can walk through to universal studios and look at the places on offer as you go.

This was an overall nice time spent with the family and looking at the scenery around the City Walk. We have been to Downtown Disney the past 3 years so this time we decided to do Universal City Walk and we actually enjoyed it a lot!! Well my only down side to this was that you have to pay for parking but thank God we got there after 6pm so parking was only $5.oo if you go beforehand just know that you will be asked to cough up $17.00 just to PARK!!!! So my only piece of advice is to go after hours so you just pay $5.00. We loved all the stores and restaurants and we also got to take pictures by the Universal GLobe that was a lot of fun!!
We also loved the part when we went down to the river boats and took them back and forth for free as we made believe we were staying in some of these resorts!! We were so delighted to just get on after walking so much and just enjoy the scenery!!!! We would recommend this to anyone who may be a little tired of going to Downtown Disney and want to venture out into the Universal side!!! :)
