“excellent !!!!!!!”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

Stayed here for a family holiday, the place is fantastic for location and spec. The reception are fast and efficient in booking you in giving you all the relevant information and location of apartment. The had a premium apartment which is very well presented, well stocked in the kitchen with everything you need and more, dinning room was all set up and was a shame to use it. Bedrooms are massive with the best bed I have ever slept and for once wasn't looking forward to getting in my own bed , one good thing is the laundrette in the apartment so easy to wash everything before you go home . I also like the idea of no keys it's all push button pads to get in the rooms and also the security gate.

Poolside is very clean with a nice little bar for a couple of cheeky ones after a long day at the parks. Locations is good seaworld 5 mins and all the Disney's 15mins away. Orlando point is only 4-5mins away by taxi ($7 each way) with a good selection of bars and entertainment, Publix supermarket is 2 mins away for all your groceries but they is also a Wallsgreens on site which I wasn't keen on but that's only my choice.
PS it's only 15mins for the airport too and you would regret it if you didn't go here.

We just spent 3 nights at Vista Cay and found our apartment a 3 bedroom to be very comfortable.
The master bed room was spacious and the bathroom was huge. The two other bedrooms were a good size. The living room had comfy seating and a nice size TV. We had a very nice kitchen. My only complaint would be to have a few more serving dishes. My son had a nine month old baby so we ate dinner in the apartment each evening. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Jennifer who checked us in was excellent.

Room Tip: We had a lake view which was very nice. We were also on the top floor, both of which we liked.

Just returned from 2 weeks at Vista Cay booked via Thomson in a 3 bed townhouse. Great location for all attractions and the supermarket and NYPD Pizza were very handy. You definitely need a car as it is too far to walk if you want to enjoy a beer over dinner on I drive. The accommodation had everything we expected, was spacious and with three kids had enough TVs and wifi to keep us all entertained on the rare occasions we spent time at the townhouse. The late opening of the pool was a great way to relax after a long day at the parks. My only gripe was the beds were very hard and did not aid a comfortable nights sleep. A separate issue is that the Thomson rep did not turn up for the welcome meeting and there was no attempt to contact us from Thomson.

It sounds like we met or exceeded your expectations except for the beds. As you might imagine, bed comfort is not a "one size fits all" scenario and what pleases one guest may be the total opposite of what another guest wants. We try to be somewhere in the middle. Thank you for taking the time to write the review- we hope to see you back here at Vista Cay by Millenium soon.

Our first stay at Vista Cay. Townhouse ideal space. Surroundings clean and tidy. Small pool ideal. Publix within walking distance. NYPD pizza great and again within walking distance. You definitely need a car to visit parks however taxi service good and buses easy to navigate.

Four star property fixtures and fittings beginning to show their age, this may be down to individual owner of townhouse.

We stayed here between 8th July - 22nd July.
We had booked through Thomas cook, I had e-mailed before arriving requesting a top floor apartment and this request was granted.
Check in was extremely straight forward, staff were really nice and informative.
The whole area is very secure with coded gates. We stayed on the main complex easy walk to the main pool and also the shopping complex across the road, publix, NYPD pizza (highly recommend) and a delicious Chinese restaurant.
We had a 3 bed condo, was plenty big enough for 4 adults, no complaints and the beds are so comfy! This resort was recommended to us by friends and it certainly lived up to the recommendation, so convenient for all the parks, shopping outlets and idrive.
I will recommend to all that this is the place to stay, and when we return to orlando in 2016 I will most certainly be booking vista cay again! The condos are lovely, well equipped and clean, but what really sold it to us was the location it really was so convenient.

4 of us spent 2 weeks in a 3 bedroom executive condo over July/August 2014 (having had an upgrade from a 2 bed exec apartment). We got to the resort and were pleasantly surprised by the reception area and initial look at the pool. Arriving at the apartment blocks via the gates, initial impressions were of large, clean and well looked after buildings and grounds. There were 2 lifts in the building we were in (5024) and we rarely saw anyone else in the lifts over the 2 weeks we were there. Up to the apartment (405) where entry is via a door code (so no keys) and first impressions were wow - it was huge! A large dining table to the left, a large kitchen to the right, huge lounge area which was very comfortable, separate utility room (thank god for the washing machine and tumble dryer!), master bedroom with a huge bed, en-suite bath and shower room, and then 2 twin bedrooms with a second bathroom, plus balcony - overlooking the car park but still a nice view. It was a very comfortable place to spend 2 weeks, TV's in each bedroom plus the living room, DVD player, excellent kitchen facilities and utility room. The complex was very well maintained, and a mix of residents and holiday makers. We used the pool area quite a bit as it was open from 8am to 11pm. It was always immaculate, and always had loungers and chairs available. The main pool is outside the reception area, and has a large hot tub and a very shallow childrens pool too. There is also a pool bar which is reasonably priced, and nice to be able to get a drink and snack. Music was on all the time, but its not too loud, nice to have some background music whilst at the pool. The 3rd pool is across a road by the Publix supermarket, A keycard is needed to access that pool - reception gave us two when we asked for them. That is a much smaller pool and was always very quiet when we visited. There is a large lake at the back of the complex which is great for an early morning run (2 miles - but you cannot run all the way around it, so its an out and back run). This was our second time to orlando, and this apartment was perfect. Bins were emptied each day (recycling and landfill) and we saw no bugs or critters in the apartment. The one minor grip was that the loo seat in the en-suite broke after a few days - we asked for it to be repaired but it never was (although the maintenance man did arrive to repair it, but it was in use. he said he would come back but never did). You can also borrow pool towels from reception at no cost - although there is a $10 charge if you dont return them. Which is fair enough! On the day we left we were unable to get a late checkout, so hung around the pool until we had to leave. The poolside loo's have a shower in, but its not great. Our children are teenagers so it was fine, but with younger children you might want to think about this when on departure day. We had a great time at Vista Cay and I would highly recommend it as a great base for Orlando.

Room Tip: You can e-mail the hotel ahead of time and request a high floor, lake view or to be close to the poo...
