We were in Orlando for 5 days in June.....I was impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. when we needed linens, they delivered within reasonable time and they wre clean...actually, i could smell bleach faintly....never had that at any hotel i have stayed. They cleaned the hot tub every morning i was there...the pool was kept up and access to towels were everywhere. The grounds were nice too! No trash, lawns well manicured. The room did not smell like a hotel....the a/c almost ran me out of there it was so cold.....the shower was clean and we had good water pressure. The hotel doesnt seem as large as it is when you walk into lobby and i still dont know how many rooms they have.....i didnt mind walking to get to my room.....they grounds were nice and relaxing to walk through. Their exercise room (gym) was nice too! Wasnt too big or small, had all the current elliptical machines and such....free weights and it was nice and cool in there. I didnt eat at the resturant there but visited Max's for pizza and some ice cream. We will be back in orlando next year and i plan on staying at this hotel again!!! Thank you!

We stayed here on our honeymoon from the 6th July for 2 weeks. We only booked the trip 10 days before we travelled as we had a limited budget and were undecided right up until then if we could afford to stay somewhere a bit nicer than our usual budget motel. Generally I was impressed with the property, particularly the well maintained grounds and numerous outside seating areas which meant that even when the poolside was busy there were always quieter places to sit and relax. There was a safe and a coffee maker in the room but no fridge (we were in building 17). The bed was huge and there was a couch and coffee table, flatscreen tv with decent choice of channels and a powerful shower. Other people have mentioned how early the housekeepers arrived at their room - we had the opposite problem as we would have very early starts most days and return around 2pm or 3pm ready to relax and often the room hadn't been serviced by that time. We reported a problem with the toilet flush on our first night and it was fixed very quickly. I used the spa once for a massage and the staff were extremely friendly and great at their job. My husband used the fitness centre most days and we both enjoyed the pool. One thing I was a little bit disappointed with was the location of the hotel and I wish I'd done my research a bit better. My husband prefers not to drive in the evenings so we can enjoy wine with dinner and I thought that being on International Drive we would have a great range of restaurants within walking distance but realistically the resort is a bit removed from the area where all the action is (the absolutely huge Orange County Concention Centre stands in the way!!) We both enjoy walking and I would have been interested to see how long it would take but unfortunately the weather was too unpredictable. The one time we tried to use the trolley bus we stood waiting in the rain for 25 minutes and then one drove right past us as it was full so we didn't bother again. We did eat at three of the eateries which were accross the road - The Village Inn, Ciao Italia and Flippers Pizza. They were all pretty good but for us not necessarily worth a repeat visit. There is also a sports bar beside Ciao Italia with great offers on domestic beers in the early evening. We never had dinner at the hotel as it looked a little out of our budget and I didn't see any vegetarian options. We did have breakfast a couple of times though which was more than we'd normally pay but the food was excellent, dining room beautiful and the staff were very attentive.

We stayed at this Hotel between the 2nd and 16th of July. Overall we enjoyed our stay but had a few minor issues, none serious enough to impact our enjoyment of the fabulous Florida though.
Rooms were pretty much as expected and described as we were aware that we had booked to stay in the Motel Style part and not the more expensive Tower rooms. Swimming pools were fine and clean with a towel service provided and the surrounding grounds were well landscaped and tended.
We initially were allcated a room within Block 7 ground floor. The room faced the lot so not much to look at from the window. A noteworthy point is that the rooms are very poorly lit with no main ceiling light, the lamps provided use energy saving bulbs.. generally with some not working which doesn't help. On arrival it was immediately evident the carpet had just been cleaned due to our feet becoming saturated, no big deal.. it dried within a few hours.
During our stay we had appreciable amounts of heavy rain which was causing the hotel some problems with flooding. Water managed to come under our door soaking the carpet on 2 occasions, we accepted this the 1st time as obviously weather is out of the hotels control but on the 2nd occasion it got really wet and the room became damp smelling so we requested a move. The hotel desk staff were very quick to assist us and moved us to a upgraded room in Block 9, these rooms possess a fridge, microwave and upgraded bathroom facilities.. overall I would say these rooms are far superior to the basic rooms as they have a substantially classier feel.
The maid service was generally good, our only gripe being her having a tendency to call early.. before 9am, ok if you are going to work, not so good if you like to go out and have fun at night.
Upon check out we were erroneously charged for a meal at the Bamboo grill, again the staff were quick to remove this from our tab but were nonetheless not apologetic for their mistake. We used wireless internet on 2 occasions, the reception can only be described as patchy at best.. definitely the biggest rip off at 9.99$ per night when most others offer it for free.

Booked to stay in this Hotel from June 28th until July 15th. I agree with the other reviews about the pictures being misleading. When we first got to the hotel we went into the lobby which was very nice. We checked in and were given room 603. It was a long walk from the lobby and after a 9 hour flight we cannot be bothered but we had to. We got into our room and the first impression was good until we looked at the carpet and it was all stained with blood. The room was dusty and he cleaning service was rubbish. The cleaner came to the room really early and waking us up and if you told her to come back she would give you and a dirty look and all she would do everyday was make the beds. When we opened the bathroom door, we got a really big whiff of damp and the bathroom smelt like that for the whole trip and when we phoned up to ask to get the shower curtain replaced they came but it still smelt like it. We phoned up the front desk to ask for some more hangers as there were 3 of us staying and there were only 6 hangers. They were happy to give us some more. When a hotel worker came with the hangers he only bought 3. Half way through the holiday we went to use the guest Laundry service, Out of 5 machines, Only 1 was working.

On the 15th July, It was time to leave and we went to check out and be given our bill. They charged us $75 for a 2 minute call to the U.K. and we complain about the room to the front desk but they didn't seem to care.

Don't stay at this hotel in a million years unless you want rooms that smell, cleaners that don't clean and rubbish service.

We booked this hotel for a last minute weekend trip to SeaWorld. We saw the $66 a night deal on Expedia and could not pass it up, but I was a bit leery on what the place would be like for that price. This is a very nice hotel and I am pretty sure it won't remain this cheap for long. It will turn into a Double Tree resort in the Fall, and I would expect the price to double also.
We got a room in the tower. Very nicely decorated and clean with two double beds. We had booked for a king, but this was just fine. Beds were comfortable and room updated. Rooms in the lower exterior sections near the pools could be a bit noisy. Grounds are lush and reminded me a bit of a resort in the Caribbean. There are 3 pools and 2 restaurants and a snack bar with pizza hut pizza and ice cream.
Check in/out line can be quite long, so don't get in line wanting to be in a hurry. They really need more desk staff during busy times to eliminate this issue.
It is a quick 15 minute walk cutting through the employee parking lot and other parking to Sea World. At night it is a bit dark, so just be aware of your surroundings and you will be fine.
Breakfast Buffet at the hotel was not worth it, unless you have kids, then they eat for free with you. The eggs were cold and the food selection was not so great for the $13 price.

With some minor improvements, this could be a more upscale resort worth more than we paid.

I agree with one of the other reviewers..the hotel photos are very misleading. Upon arrival, it looked like old motel bldgs with outside doors. Once we checked in, drove to the room to find out the key didn't work..and there was someone already in that room! Drove all the way back to the lobby, and explained the situation and asked to be upgraded to a room with a mini fridge and by the pool. The guy at the desk told me none of the rooms had fridges but I could "rent" one..no thanks. The room was nicely remodeled..and had a mini fridge in it. (Apparently the staff doesn't know what they're talking about) Made the mistake of unpacking and then leaving to go to dinner. Once we got back to the hotel, noticed it was not so clean. Black hairs on the bed, fresh white stains on the green throw cover. Drink rings on the dresser and some type of gunk on the side of the night stand. Called down to the front desk, mgr said someone would be right up. 45 minutes housekeeping arrived...so much for being right up. The pools were nice, definitely not enough chairs or towels for guests. The pool bars were not open at the times that were stated on the brochures. Staff was pretty nice and landscaping around the hotel was gorgeous. Parking around the hotel was a nightmare. Nice hotel..just not what was expected.

We thought we had discovered a great deal for a last minute trip to Orlando. We were disappointed as we pulled in and saw the old motel buildings we would be staying in with outside doors. The parking lot was in need of new pavement. Then we walked in the room and it didn't improve. The room was poorly lit, there were hairs all over the bathroom, mold in the tub corners and the tub didn't drain. When we got the housekeeper she claimed it wasn't her job to clean the mold but engineering. She did eventually try and it was better. The grounds of the "hotel" were well kept though.
