Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Next month , we wil be returning for our 9th stay at this resort. My family just loves Disney and this is the perfect place to stay. Any suggestion I make to stay at a different resort hotel is quickly dismissed. Staying at a familiar place is comforting, it makes it feel like we are at our home away from home. We have stayed at the several of the Deluxe Hotels in the past and they all were very , very nice. Each one has its' own charm and amenities. However, in our case, we have always been the type of visitor that leaves early in the morning and returns when the parks close. We do not spend a lot of time in the room and spending the extra money for the experience of a Deluxe hotel can wait for when it is time to retire, We have found the rooms at CBR to be clean, and the housekeepers very friendly and thoughtful( they all seem to be able to create those cute animals with the towels). The resort is spread out so that even if it is booked solid, you do not get the feeling that it is overly crowded. There is a wide variety of food to choose from at the food court .We all have our favorite foods and we are seldom disappointed. There is also a good variety of snacks at the gift shop if you return from a long day at the parks and just want to veg out in your roomt . They have everything you need for your vacation.

The staff, from the front desk to the baggage handlers have always been professional and helpful. If we ever have a concern, they address it immediately and follow up to ensure that you are pleased with their solution.

The walk to the food court is pleasant any time of the day. There is a lot to do at the resort including boating , biking , swiimming at your own pool (and the main pool is great), walking or running around the walkway surrounding the lake and don't forget the game room, which is great for kids. Also, being so close to Epcot, every night you are able to watch the fireworks from Illuminations.

I have always found the bus transportaion to be very reliable. Oh, there is always one time or another that you just miss your bus to your destination, but another will be along in short order. I find it very convenient and a break from having to drive all the time.

I highly recommend this resort to anyone who needs to relax and to be recharged on there vacation.

After reading the other reviews , I think they are way too hard on this hotel. We actually are going back there in a week same island. The last time we stayed there I was nervous after reading the reveiws about how far everything is. Especially having a 2year old and 4 year old. I absoultly loved it, it was nice have our own pool, beach and play area in our island. It was not busy and we could actually relax. And let's face it we all need to after the long days at the park. Yes the food court and main pool area is 10 minute walk but kids were fine. A little excercise never hurt. And let's face after all the walking at the parks this walk is nothing. Buses were great! The husband even loved not having to drive anywhere. The food was decent, the pizza place was great, some night just took it back to the room! I think the pirate room is cute kids thought it was GREAT! Remember kids get excited over things this, it is for children not adults. Overall we loved it and cannot wait for next week!!!!

We have stayed @ this resort all 3 visits to Disney and love it. This resort is very large with nice landscaping, man made beaches with hammocks, and a nice playground for little ones. The main area is great with huge pool and 2 water slides. There is a kiddie pirate ship with water slides our 3yr old loves. The food court has a good varity to choose from ( a little pricey, but normal for Disney). There is an arcade and a nice gift shop with a little market to buy smaller grocery items. Each resort has its own pool, laundry service and bus stop. The bus transportation is great, we have never waited more then 15 minutes for any bus. The buses will stop @ each resort bus stop which can get a little crowded so might have to wait for another bus, but they come quick enough. The rooms are nice, very clean and cleaned daily. Housekeeping always stocked up each day on extra towels and such things. They have mini fridges and a small safe in each room. Bathroom has a seperate sink area with 2 sinks, then the shower and toilet are in its own area. Customer service was always nice, we never had any problems. Overall this is a large and beautiful resort to stay at. We are going again in 6 more weeks and staying @ this resort.

Before booking the Caribbean Resort I read a lot of negative commentary on the internet. However, after staying at this hotel for a week I can simply tell you that the negative comments are not an accurate representation of the hotel. This hotel is perfect for the intended audience: families with small children. It is an ideal setting for young children (my child was 2.5 at the time) with a great play structure, pools, Caribbean music, great gift shop, beaches, etc. The transportation system to and from the Carribean was flawless, and the most we EVER waited for a bus was 15 minutes, MAX! Overall, it was great for the money and the intention. The food was fine, again for the expectation, we`re not talking gourmet food but it`s a moderate resort and with young children you don`t have the energy, time or money to spend on gourmet dining. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. I wanted to stay on grounds just in case we needed to go to the hotel in the middle of the park visit and this one was the only one available. It's in good shape outside but the problem is the room. It had a really bad musty smell, dust on the walls, tub would not drain (we couldn't shower!), dirty shower curtain (it had spots of I don't know what), hair on the towels and blow dryer, decor from the 80's, dirty phone, dirty carpet (we didn't want to walk barefoot!), very dingy and very run down. I couldn't believe this was a Disney resort! More like a motel. Very upset. Would never stay there again!

We stayed here on a Disney World Parks and Cruise Vacation. The hotel is OK...not bad but not great. It was all Disney clean and well kept. Rooms were fine and amenities were good. Our biggest comment was that they put us in building 29 which is as about far away from the main as possible. The smaller pools nearer the room are cold and there is no hot tub. No one was ever in them. And all of the services are next to the main pool. It is a FAR walk, especially with a 6 YO, to make. And all of the shuttles to the parks do not stop at any of the stops near the main pool so your only option is to walk. If you stay here make sure you get as close as possible to the main pool.
