“Fantastic hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2012

We just returned from a one week stay here, and aside from the slight noise problems that others have mentioned (air conditioning was effective but loud, and there was a little noise from the corridors but it didn't keep us awake), we couldn't fault it!

The staff are great - housekeeping adhered to our "Do not disturb" sign (and did a great job of making up the room each day). Reception were efficient, and very helpful in letting us store our luggage on the last day.

Facilities-wise, a major bonus for us was the free in-room wifi, as well as the hairdryer, iron/ironing board, microwave, fridge and coffee-maker with coffee bags, sugar, creamer and disposable cups supplied. There's a Walgreens about a 5 minute walk away and we saved a small fortune buying our bottles of water/soda here, refrigerating it, and taking some with us each day on our trips. Also in the room was a flatscreen TV, small safe, and a table and two chairs. We had a room with two double beds which were really comfy and the sheets were clean and soft.

The small deli/gift shop is useful if you don't want to go out of the hotel late at night as it's open 24/7, and there's a small video games arcade too. The pool looked nice, as did the restaurant, but we didn't use them. There was an ice machine on a couple of floors, laundry facilities on a few of the other floors, and vending machines on others.

Before we arrived we were a little apprehensive about not having a car, but we needn't have worried at all. The hotel is in a great location for getting the Lynx bus as there is a stop right outside on both sides of the road, with a crosswalk right outside too. We checked the Lynx website and bought our 16.00 USD one-week tickets a few weeks in advance - they even deliver to the UK for free! The Link 42 goes direct to/from Orlando International Airport and takes about an hour, but is only 2 dollars each way if you don't have a pass - I wish we had public transport as good as that over here! We did Disney too, and for that you need to take a Link 8, then transfer to the Link 50 at Seaworld. Very easy even for tourists like us, but it can take a while.

The trolley stop is next to the Lynx stop, but we didn't use it as the Lynx system seemed quicker and less busy (the trolley is aimed towards tourists and you can tell, as there were often huge gatherings of people at those stops).

We walked to Universal Studios and back a few times, as it was only about a 20 minute walk away and really easy to get to on foot. The hotel does have a shuttle to Universal and Seaworld too, though we were warned that you need to book early for this.

We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the staff at the Rosen Inn!

Me and my boyfriend (age 20&24) stayed here from 22/4/12-06/05/2012, Hotel was great for the price, only down side i would say is that it is in the more quiet end of International Drive alot of places have closed down near the hotel so if visiting again i would stay up near pointe orlando if looking for a more lively area, Chuck was a great help giving lots of different coupons on arrival and the reception staff were helpful, we didnt have breakfast in the hotel so cant comment on that. The little shop was handy although is a bit expensive but there is plenty of supermarkets round about, when we got in out room i looked behind the tv unit which was pretty disgusting, lots of stuff had been thrown down behind it from previous people staying im guessing so it should probs be checked when people check out. The rooms were cleaned every day and were pretty perfect so no complaints there, overall it was a great stay!

Room Tip: ask for a high floor! and deff stay away from the washing machine area!

Myself and my fiance visited Orlando for the second time May 2012. We had booked to stay at the Econolodge on International Drive for 2 weeks as we had stayed here on our last visit and had had a good experience.
About 3 to 4 weeks before our departure date we received a letter from our travel agent informing us we had been moved to the Rosen Inn as the Econolodge was going to be closing down. I was actually quite relieved as the reviews of the Econolodge had been getting worse and worse everytime I read them, and the ones for the Rosen Inn were much better.
On arriving at the Rosen Inn, which has recently changed from the Rhodeway Inn and been refurbished, we were checked in quickly by the friendly reception staff.
Our room was on the 6th floor. The rooms are spacious and clean. There was a decent tv, good storage space, a microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and free safe as standard in each room. The two things that were a little annoying were the fact that the french doors are locked even though they have a decent balcony rail and the air conditioner did not stay on constantly, it went off and came back on when the room got too warm. The rooms were cleaned and tidied daily.
The reception staff were friendly but did seem a little confused by our and some of the other guests accents, which led me to believe they were not very experienced in working in hotels.
They was a small gift and snack shop, a bar, breakfast room and a Japanese steak house attached to the hotel. The pool area was clean and tidy with free towels and was open 9am-10pm. Free transfers were included to Universal and Seaworld but had to be booked at least a day in advance. Disney transfers were $18 each but I would recommend doing the I trolley and Lynx 111/50 if you are on a budget and have patience.
There are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Universal is only a 10/15 minute walk away and Wet and Wild is across the road. The I trolley stops north and south 10 are just outside the hotel. They are not the most reliable things so walk as far as you can without using them.
You can buy tickets for the I trolley and parks in the hotel but beware of the timeshare pitch. The internet in the foyer is quick but only payable by card.
All in all i'm glad we were moved to this hotel as it was a good base for Universal, Seaworld, Wet and Wild and Disney. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby, and easy access to all attractions via transfers, I trolley or bus.

This hotel was available at a national Travel Agents at a good price so I had a look on tripadvisor to read on what the reviews were like , they were mostly good reviews so went ahead and booked. Here is my review of it if it is any help to anyone.
The hotel was very clean both inside and out including our room which was cleaned every day of our two week stay , the rooms are a good size with modern electic safe (free), microwave , coffee maker, and fridge but no knives , forks, spoons , plates or bowls , this was the only fault I could find about the whole hotel , the room also has a large flat screen TV. We were in room 825 which is on the eighth floor out of nine floors in total , it was very quiet apart from the usual inconsiderate door slammers but you can get them anywhere. We only tried the buffet breakfast once but only because I am not a breakfast lover , a slice of toast and bowl of cerial is good enough for me but it was quite good and included unlimited tea , coffee or juice. The pool and pool area was also quite ample with plenty of sunbeds and chairs with tables and parasols , there was also plenty of poolside towels always available. I can recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of booking it.

My wife and I stayed here last night (15th May 2012). It's not the Ritz, but it's cheap, clean and tidy and the staff were friendly. We were visiting my son and his girlfriend who were staying at the Rosen Inn @ point Orlando, which is at the other end of Idrive. In my opinion his end of Idrive is better than this end. We were very close to Universal Studios and IOA but the area is a bit tacky. It was fine for one night but I wouldn't have wanted any longer. If I were looking to stay on Idrve for any length of time it would be at the Point Orlando end.
We paid £51 for our night with Hotels.com, which we thought was good value.
One poor point-The safe in our room wasn't fixed to anything. Even if we'd left anything in it, someone could have just picked the whole thing up and walked straight out! So note to hotel-Try fixing down your safes, otherwise they are not very safe!!!

As we knew we would not be at the hotel apart from sleeping we chose the cheapest available but we were very happy with the cleanliness and convenience and wish we were there longer to enjoy the hotel too. The location is ideal to easily reach all the theme parks in the area and we can't believe how cheap it was, just £280 for 2 rooms for 8 nights! ideal

Room Tip: Choose a high room - the views are great from both sides

Stayed for 5 nights with my wife. The room is nice, clean, with 32" lcd tv. Parking is big and confortable. Swimming pool is not very big. Breakfast is good and no expensive at all. I definitely gonna stay here again. The only cons is the fact that air conditioning is very noisy.
