This was our first visit to the Quality Inn on International Drive. I had read some reviews on this site praising this hotel so we decided to stay. We arrived to the hotel and were quickly checked into the room with out any problems to start. When we arrived to the room we were greeted with a note advising the cleaning staff will be off the next two days. The room had a very damp smell to it. The sink had small hairs around it as well as stains. The bathtub-shower had soap residue in it and looked like it had only been rinsed with water to clean it. We had decided to make a run to a store and purchase some cleaning supplies. The headboard and wall had stains and marks on it and looked badly in need of a fresh coat of paint. The sheets on the bed (thankfully looked clean) were too small and every night would come undone. The hotel advertises free shuttles to Universal Studios so we decided to inquire with guest services about shuttle times. The lady at the desk was only interested in getting us to go to another hotel for some “Time-Share” thing and kept insisting that we go even after I clearly stated we were not interested. I once again asked the times for the shuttle and was handed a sheet that wasn’t even for the Universal Shuttle. The phone in the room was not working correctly, any incoming calls would go right to voicmail and not ring in the room.
The motel has security patrolling the main level. We could always tell when he was near our room as we were able to hear his radio at night.

This will be my last stay at this motel and would strongly suggest everyone looking for a clean, safe place to stay look else where.

Just got back from a 16 night florida holiday booked with Virgin and spent 10 nights at this hotel. Found the hotel easily from the airport and check-in was handled very well. Room was clean with two double beds and a smallish bathroom. Used the hotel restaurant for breakfast only which was ok- for a better buffet brekkie head to Ponderosa. The Bar at the hotel had live music some nights and was a nice place to have a beer and unwind after the long days at the park.

All in all its a clean hotel in a superb location on I Drive and I would definately go back.

Went to florida for the first time, just got home and all we want to do is go back. The hotel is right in the middle of Idrive with plenty of restarants within easy walking distance. Try Denny's just outside for a fab breakfast, however it's very busy at the weekend.
The hotel had everything we needed, rooms were nice and clean and had lovley big beds.Yes the bathroom is a little small but does the job. There is a good on site shop where you can get hot or cold drinks and food till 12am, and also a good gift shop. The hotel returant is ok but there are plenty of places to eat just as cheep and a lot more choice of what to eat. Warning you will put on weight ! The Itrolly ( bus ) is very handy going all the way up and down idrive till 10pm and also takes you to sea world. You can get a 1 day 1 week or 2 week pass, a 2 week pass is $14 per person, about 60p a day and well worth it. The virgin transport ( MEARS ) is a little unreliable, book a day in advance to get a shuttle. Our mears transport for the airport home never arrived and we was very late checking in !! You have been warned.
If you are going with Virgin and want to do some day trips DO NOT do the Everglades trip as it's a load of pants and far to long on the bus. They are the only 2 negatives. Could of used a car but didn't see the point as you can get around easy enough plus you have to pay to park in the theme parks, depends on what you plan to do. We had an amazing time in Orlando, the parks are great especially the universal parks. Would definatly stay at Quality inn again and carn't wait to go back to finish off all we never had time to do. Two weeks just aint enough.

This is an OK place to stay if you just want a bed. It's close to everything, and the front desk was helpful. We had a daily $2.00 for 'amenities', which I assume was coffee and soap. We got regular coffee, no decaf, and only had soap and shampoo one day out of 6. No biggie, since I always bring my own, but the motel size are great for nursing homes and sending to the troops. Besdes, I paid for it!!
For the price the place is OK, and if you plan to spend most of your time by the pool or at the atractions go for it. But if you want a nice room and can afford better, go down the street.

we stayed at this hotel having booked through travelcitydirect, which by the way is a lot cheaper than booking with virgin. we stayed here in 2003 and 2004 and we loved the hotel and it is right in middle of idrive.one thing that we liked was coming out of the main entrance on i-drive and turning left at the traffic lights and that road took us right up to kennedy space centre. a lot of good places to eat and 2 big swimming pools for all the family to use. pleanty of towels.

This was our first trip to Florida at end Oct first week in November, there were 8 in our party 4 adults 4 children 11,11,10,8. The Quality Inn International is ideally situated on I drive. You can walk to Wet and Wild and Sea World is 20 mins on I ride. courtesy bus to Universal not bad but book days in advance. Otherwise about $4 in cab. Disney is a fair distance. We got an 8 seater cab $50 one way. The local charge for shuttle from Q I is no cheaper. We hired a 12 seater van for 8 days allowed easy transportation Disney is about 20 mins drive easy to find on I4, cost $60 in fuel for 8 days lots of trips to shops. Parking is about $8-9 at most parks.
Room was spotless, air con excelent if a little noisy. Maid service A1. All items in room worked perfectly. No noise. food and sevice in restaurant good as was reception. Pool was clean lots of towels Perkins for breakfast was the top choice from other locations, all served to table rather than buffet. Good restaurants locally, Wild Jacks, china Jades, TGI Friday. Photo's developed at walgreens near Ripleys, excelent quality.
I would certianly use this hotel to stay in again.
