This is s time share you can also rent by the week. Every staff member from housekeeping to front desk has been helpful. We ride motorcycles and they have dedicated motorcycle parking right up front. When my seat was wet (AM fog) they brought me a towel. Kitchenette was spotless. Ocean front balconey. Just for it.

British couple travelling Florida & using our RCI points system has worked out really well for us... Good value ....Been here for 4 weeks ... One week left to go ...We have had to change rooms 3 times so far but we don't mind & in 4 weeks we've had 3 weeks of Sea & Pool views which is a bonus ... Lovely friendly staff on Front Desk ... Great Housekeeping team all willing to help out...Maintenance crew really friendly guys ... We feel very at home here. The Studio Condo's are ample for the 2 of us all we could need. Very Floridian in decor & a certain Shabby Chic decor which we love in Florida ... Wonderful heated pool & Hot Tub ... Unfortunately the resort Restaurant & Bar are being refurbished. However a temporary Bar is set up in a tent with $3 deals on all booze... No problem though as the choice of restaurants & Diners all around is great... We didn't hire a car so we have been getting around on the local Buses the Votran service... For $3 for 24 hr travel it's great value... The buses only run hourly at this time of year... TV was updated whilst we were there to so more channels... The down side of that is as British visitors we don't know what all the channels are so it's fun finding our way through the extensive list...Definately would consider staying here again. However next time just for pure convenience we would hire a car as it's difficult to get from County to County on local transport... We used the Greyhound Bus to go up to St Augustine ... We walked quite a bit to ... Excellent Beach.

Room Tip: Ocean side rooms are the best because of the lovely views & sound of the Sea ... Great watching...

We have owned three Weeks at Ocean East Resort Club for 20+ years A one bedroom/studio suite in the summer and a studio in the winter We never fail to enjoy our time there. The carpet, furniture, appliances are updated on a rotation schedule so that some area is always getting something replaced and if needed repairs/replacements take place sooner than scheduled. This enables the maintenace fees to remain reasonable but the facility to be bright, clean and enjoyable regardless of when we visit. The location is perfect - the amenities wonderful - there is none better for the price. The staff are very helpful, security professional. Parking is a pain but Security personal do their best to accomadate owners If you want your activities planned the social director does a great job -- if you want to go your own way - no one bothers you I remain pleased and proud to be a owner

Room Tip: do not get a studio and expect a large space. Comfortable. and efficient Oceanside if possible...

My husband, son, and I stayed at this property through an RCI exchange in Jan 2014. The only good thing about it is the central location (close to St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, and Orlando).
Negatives: studio is extremely musty; The beds in the studio are a murphy bed and a pull-out sofa bed. Both are extremely hard. My husband and my backs are still hurting 2 weeks later! We had even brought additional padding to place on top because we had heard the beds were hard. This didn't help much. The carpet was dirty. The sofa had stains all over it. The pillows were stained. The bathroom is tiny. We had to bring out towels and sheets down to the first floor to exchange. We spent most of the time outside of the hotel room and left a day early. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you want a good night's sleep!!!

Room Tip: Studio room is extremely small; no balcony; only has a murphy bed and sofa bed both of which are e...

Just a little update on our Resort in the last year. We have replaced all the mattresses in the studio units and almost all of the 2 bedroom units. Carpet has been replaced and upgraded, the sofa has been replaced as well. Some of our studios have balconies, some don't. RCI assigns the unit for exchange and guests are told ahead of time if it has a balcony or not. We have updated the resort, replaced appliances as well. Most of our comments are positive and our owners have been coming here for over 30+ years.

We stay in 4 to 6 Time Share condo's each year and this was the smallest we have ever stayed at, and it was a 2 Bedroom. Yes, we have stayed at several one Bedroom units that were not this small. There were 4 of us - they say the unit will sleep 6 - 4 was 2 too many. Otherwise is a nice resort. Friendly helpful people. Very nice pools area and a great location on the Ocean between Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach. If you stay here, make sure you get an Ocean View.

Room Tip: Make sure you get an Ocean Front Room

I stayed in a studio room the week before Thanksgiving. As noted in other reviews, there is a wall of windows that for the most part do not open overlooking the deck and ocean. It has a murphy pull down bed in the dining room area plus a sleeper sofa in the living room area with pocket doors between the two rooms. It would be very small quarters with limited storage for two couples and the one couple would have to walk through the murphy bedroom to get to the bathroom. The exercise room is extremely limited - a bowflex type machine and some type of spin cycle. The dry sauna in the exercise room was a nice option - I really enjoyed it. The door is not marked as the exercise room (I think it says men's sauna) and it says to get a key from the front desk but you can use your room key.
Everyone was very nice and the pool and hot tub were in good condition. They had occasional live entertainment in the bar/restaurant patio. Daytona is just down the road and there are a lot of restaurants in the area. This was definitely an off-week for tourists to visit so the beaches were not crowded and it was easy to dine in the restaurants.
The location and ability to walk right out onto the beach is a huge plus. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this resort.

Room Tip: Be aware there are two sides to the resort. The back side overlooks the parking lot.

Some of the reviews almost prevented us from reserving, but we took a chance anyway. We were only able to reserve a studio and were a little worried that it would be too small and my travel companion is partially disabled. We asked for an upgrade to a more spacious unit, but did not get it. The unit had a wall of windows and a wall of mirrors in the living room which gave you the impression of more space. The ocean view was spectacular and we were privy to entertainment from the outdoor patio restaurant below (which ended early). The staff was very friendly. The pool area was well maintained (as were the other areas) and had plenty of umbrella tables for non-sun worshippers. I don't go in public hot tubs, but a number of adults were enjoying it. Above all, the location is excellent and within walking distance to the Black Sheep and Riptide and a short drive to Publix, Bealls and the Dollar Tree. On the downside, the furniture is uncomfortable and we needed bed pillows behind our backs with our feet up and beds are very firm.
