I have been a owner at this resort for 5 years now and it just keeps getting better !! We checked in on Sat. Mar. 10th and stayed till the 17th. This is the annual bike week and we try to make it every year. Rooms were ready at 4:00 as they should be and check in was fast and problem free. This year they had done some up dating of carpet and appliances. Pools were perfect and for the first time we went in the ocean as the weather was perfect. It is just so handy to walk out of your resort and be right on one of the nicest beaches in America. You'll find everything you need right in the area to keep you as busy or relaxed as you want to be. We go for the motorcycle week and with the underground parking your always very safe and secure. Depending on what you want they have a room to suit your needs. Street side lets you watch the traffic (and motorcycles in our case) and a nice sunset. Oceanside gives you GREAT sunrises and the surf to put you to sleep at night. I recommend driving the Ormond Loop, just ask and they'll put you in the right direction. If you want a wonderful place to stay, great service and easy access to lots to do stay at the Royal Floridian.

Room Tip: As I said above, both sides have their GREAT features. The higher the better for a wonderful view of...

I surprised my son with a trip to Daytona Beach for his 13th birthday and this resort was amazing. I have a very large family with 2 adults and 4 children and the two bedroom condo we stayed in had plenty of room. The amenities at the resort provided something for the whole family. The outside pool was very clean and the tiki bar on the pool deck had wonderful drinks. My son enjoyed playing putt putt and spent a lot of time in the game room room. The indoor pool was also great since it rained a bit while we were there. Overall, this resort was fantastic and I will be returning with my family.

I am a owner at this resort since 1996. I go to Bike week almost every year. The accommodations are very good. With an ocean and two pools, you will not want for water activities. If motorcycles and the accompanying noise bothers you, then stay away during the first two weeks of March. Otherwise this is a very nice place and the staff was magnificent.

Room Tip: The north building has much better balcony views, except for those at the far south end of the build...

Second year we have stayed at this resort and love the location and the beach. Numerous excellent restaurants nearby with various menu items and prices. Our concern is the lack of housekeeping in the pool area and surrounding deck. The chairs are filthy and have never been cleaned other than by rain drops. Hate to think what you might pick up from them.

We just finished a 3 night stay at The Royal Floridian and I must say I am glad we didn't say yes to the time share tour. We were placed in the south building that was the "new" part, I am not sure how new it is but it could use some minor maintance on the doors, its hard to sneak out of even the bedroom because the doors squeak so loud. We had a 2 bedroom unit which was sparking clean when we arrived but my peeve about the unit was there weren't any dressers at all.. So travelling with 2 adults, 3 kids for 3 days there was really no where to place your items. The bedrooms are very small, the bathroom lacked space to really unpack leaving me to place bags on the bathroom floor. The kitchen was very nice and had everything you need to "live" for a few days.

This property is not what I would say is a "resort" it really is just a hotel with very little perks. The kids were bored (altho it could be the time of the yr and lack of activities for kids). In your welcome package they list things you should do... strip all linens and place them in the bath tub.. take all your trash out of the room.... for the almost 600 dollars I paid for 3 nights I am now cleaning the unit?... don't get me wrong we never leave a mess when we leave a unit but is that not a little extreme? There has to be better priced units with more activites that are actual "resorts" in the Ormand/Daytona area so i would keep looking. I know we won't be going back there.

Room Tip: if its space you need... this is not the place for more then 2 adults and 2 kids

Because this is a time share property you don't have to contend with housekeeping wanting to do up your room. We like the privacy this type of accommodation offers. We also enjoy having a kitchen for cooking. Every room has a balcony with an ocean front view. The pool area is great, it spacious, adequate seating and tables with umbrellas for those who need to avoid the sun. Access to the beach is just a few short steps away. We found the staff accommodating and helpful. We did have a problem with a squeaky box springs but in 24 hours it had been replaced. There is an adequate amount of silverware and table settings for four plus persons. We were pleased to have free internet hookup which worked extremely well. We would return

This is a time share property that rents out unused rooms. There is no restaurant, bar, or free maid service. You empty your own trash in the chute down the hall. Our room was hidden behind an exterior door that led to a vestabule. You need a staff member to inform you of this otherwise you will never find your room. Once inside this area, you could see the room number. Another door led to the bathroom from this vestabule. A strange set-up. You could hear people in the vestabule entering and exiting the adjoining room from the bathroom and one would guess, they could hear you.
