Stayed here as part of a marketing ploy to get us to buy a timeshare. The hotel is huge and we enjoyed the 2Bedroom unit (very small kitchen unit with no storage). Great views, comfortable beds, pool heated for evening swims, but there was only one hot tub to accommodate all the people in the hotel.

We attended the timeshare presentation with an open mind. We had paid a reduced room fee to be able to stay there, so it was NOT free. Our sales rep was overly enthusiastic, but when it came time to decline to buy, things became awkward as he continued to ask us why not. He sent a manager in who cut the price in half, but we stuck with our decision. Not comfortable at all when they basically accused us of dishonesty.

The hotel is really nice, but wouldn't advise staying here if you have to go through the 2 hour sales pitch which is required.

We are timeshare owners through another company, so we are used to staying at these types of resorts. The 2 bedroom unit we had was nice and clean, it had also been updated. Our couple of complaints are not huge. The bedrooms are very small, like no dresser small. We usually have a decent size room with a dresser and closet space, not here. The kitchen area, dining area and living room are all one room. It is a nice large area, BUT, it echoes terribly. If we wanted to really watch tv, we all had to talk quietly or go in the bedrooms to hear it. The pool is fine, and there is a hot tub and lots of chairs, we always found enough for us. The beach is really nice also. Staying here, you are close to Daytona Beach and an hour and a half from Orlando. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and grocery stores as well.

We stayed a week in the South building. A beautiful 2 bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, living room and dining table for 6. Check in day is based on what floor you are on. Sunday was the top floor 7. We had an amazing view of the beach and pool next store. Very bright and clean. Only complaint the floor was very slippery when wet. Loved all the activities bingo, mini golf, crafts, campfire with smores, bocce ball and the huge pool and hot tub. Access to beach was right out front. Staff were always happy and very helpful. Coming back next March.

Room Tip: South Building - 2 bedrooms oceanfront, 1 bedrooms corner or side view but still great view of ocean...

This lovely resort located right on the beach is a S[pinnaker Resort. The entire ambiance is luxurious for this beach area. The lobby includes an indoor pool and billiards or pool facilities. There is television in the lobby and a Tiki Bar by the outside pool. They offer studio, one bedroom and two bedroom suites. Some of the two bedrooms have a lockout bedroom which means two couples traveling together can have their own suite complete with private balcony facing the beach.
The rooms we saw had one room with king bed, small refrig, coffee maker and microwave as well as bathroom, all behind a separate locked door. The main bedroom had a queen bed, private balcony, and kitchen with stove, cabinets, microwave and coffee maker. It also had a bathroon.
This resort is very centrally located to downtown Ormond and nearby Daytona Beach. There are several restaurants withing walking distance although none on the premesis.

Room Tip: No dogs or smoking so plan accordingly.

To most The Royal Floridian may seem to be the ideal resort. This, however, was not our experience. Although it offers a wide variety of amenities and activities, the unit we were placed in was far below our expectations. Without doubt, this was the worse unit we have ever vacationed in. We were told we would have an ocean view, but when we arrived they only had "city view." This unit's city view was even horrible. You could see only roof, trash that had blown into the roof and the workmen's path (which they use numerous times throughout the day). The other window in the unit was a false window in one of the bedrooms. It had glass blocks obscuring view to the hallway but allowing the bright security light to shine like a beacon all night into the bedroom. An additional disappointment was that all units were equipped with a jacuzzi tab.... All except ours, of course. Ours was removed to make a handicapped shower, which I am thankful not to need, but once again feel we were stuck with less that what we were told and certainly less that we had expected!i have pictures but do not see an option to include them. If I figure it out I will add them later. May all of your vacations be everything you dreamed about!

I stayed here with four other people for a golf vacation for one week. It was also spring break. It wasn't too wild or too loud to sleep since this is located in Ormond Beach. I did stay in Daytona Beach before during spring break and it was too loud to even sleep. The hotel was very clean and very spacious for 5 people. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a pull out couch.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a tiki bar out on the patio and the drinks were reasonably priced. The male bartender was great! Very personable, funny and friendly.
There was lots to do (swimming pool, hot tub, ping pong, beanbags, shuffleboard) They had multiple grills on the patio.
I would definitely recommend this resort.

We have stayed at the Royal Floridian for several years and have never been disappointed.
They have everything location, beautiful rooms. friendly staff from check in to check out, security always around, ( important as we have our motorcycles their for bike week ) underground parking, inside and outside pools, mini golf, tiki bar, grills.
In the area you can sit on the beach, go for a walk on the beach or over the big bridge, drive the Ormond Loop ( I recommend this and stop and see THE MAJESTIC OAK ) it's old Florida at it's best. Shops and every kind of restaurants are within a walk or short drive. Entrance to the drive on beach is right next door. To the north drive A1A along the ocean, it doesn't get any better.
When making your Daytona area vacation plans check out The Royal Floridian you will be HAPPY YOU DID !!!!!!
