The Crown is a great traditional Pub with friendly regulars a vast selection of Beers, Cider, Spirits and atmosphere. Allen the Landlord made us very welcome, the food you could not fault with a generous helping I only just had room for the Apple Crumble.
This Pub was built sometime in 1600 so our room had a sloping floor and even the doors were at an angle but this only adds to the charm, Breakfast was delicious.

our room was in the process of being refurbished, but was a nice, comfortable room. The pub was very nice and the food was really nice. The landlord Alan could not do enough for us. I would stay here again for sure.

We booked last minute so had no idea of its ‘Hotel Inspector’ fame. Our room was small but clean. All lights worked and the shower was fine. Food is fairly basic but our evening bar meal was done well and came quickly All staff and the owner were friendly and helpful. Locals were friendly. English breakfast was better than many 3 and 4 Star we have stayed in - fresh and well cooked. It’s also a pretty village for a stroll. For that area we reckoned it was good value for money. Last but not least, the dog liked it there...

OK experience- the pub is lovely and full of character and the village is beautiful

My room had a wonky shower and there was some kind of plumbing noise at night.

It was an OK experience for the price. Breakfast was nice.
