“Company team-building weekend on the Peace River”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Palm Bay Kayaks did a great job taking our entire Company on a weekend of kayaking, fossil hunting and camping (a/c cabins). We started out by meeting at Thousand Trails resort in Wauchula FL, settling in Friday night meeting with all the employees and their families as they arrived. Saturday Cheryl rallied the troops to get the day started around 7am. The weather decided to change on us as we arrived at the launch site. Cheryl watched the radar to make sure we were not going to be on the water while the storm passed. As we all sat under the bridge waiting in the rain, Cheryl lead the group in some impromptu team building exercises while we waited. It made the unexpected delay a fun life learning experience playing two truths and one lie with the employees and their families. As we Embarked on our journey down the Peace River Cheryl guiding us and telling us about the plants and animals (Flora and Fauna as she would say) we stopped several times to rest and dig for fossils. At first our employees were a bit skeptical of getting out of the kayaks to fossil hunt, but after seeing Cheryl and others finding many sharks teeth, turtle shells and bones they quickly joined together and worked as teams to find their own souvenirs of sharks teeth. Upon returning to the thousand trails Resort, Cheryl and the resort staff helped our Company to come together as a team to prepare and serve BBQ dinner to the entire group of 22 employees and family members. After dinner was cleaned up we all worked to build a nice bonfire at the resort fire ring (a bit challenging with wet fire wood). Bonding was had by all, as the adults helped the kids with S'mores. I can highly recommend Palm Bay Kayaking for your next company team-building outing, we did not even realize we were team building with all the fun we had. thank you.

We had such a fabulous time helping Done Right Contracting have a unique experience! The fossil hunting was legendary, especially with the storms and spiders thrown in for good measure.
Thank you so much for the opportunity and pleasure of team building and bonding with such a great group of people (and their dogs!)!

“Awesome trip, beautiful scenery!”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

My husband and I recently went on the evening bioluminescence tour with Cheryl. We had a great time. We saw dolphins when we first went out, watched the sunset, and then saw the really cool effect of bioluminescence when the sun went down. Cheryl is very friendly and knowledgeable about the local wildlife. I would definitely recommend this tour!

“Beautiful afternoon on the water”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

We received gift certificates for Christmas for a 2 hour eco tour of Turkey Creek. What a great weekend to put them to use and what a great gift idea! We saw beautiful birds, turtles, and even gators sunning them selves! They offer 4 hour tours leaving at 8:30 AM and 2 hour afternoon tours at 1:30 PM. They have great new equipment, life vests, coolers for your boats, and even pack a water for everyone! All you need to do is show up, bring a snack, wear a hat, cover up and put some sun screen on then enjoy a day out on the water! You get a guide who paddles the water with you, taking photos along the way and pointing out wild life. Most of the kayaks are sit in, but not the kind with the super small hole, much bigger and nice on the water, they do have some wide sit on top ones if you prefer those. Would be great for a large group, or just a couple!

“Wonderful Day at Turkey Creek”
Reviewed 20 September 2013

Decided to try the kayak adventure today and had an absolutely delightful time. The creek seems designed for kayaking and we saw many sunning turtles and one manatee. The whole area is interesting, with many different trees, plants and birds, all pointed out and explained to us by Cheryl, our very talented and personable tour guide. The kayak tour here is worth a special visit; the equipment is new and very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect afternoon for us and I expect we'll be doing it again soon. Highly recommended.
