Palm Bay Kayaks did a great job taking our entire Company on a weekend of kayaking, fossil hunting and camping (a/c cabins). We started out by meeting at Thousand Trails resort in Wauchula FL, settling in Friday night meeting with all the employees and their families as they arrived. Saturday Cheryl rallied the troops to get the day started around 7am. The weather decided to change on us as we arrived at the launch site. Cheryl watched the radar to make sure we were not going to be on the water while the storm passed. As we all sat under the bridge waiting in the rain, Cheryl lead the group in some impromptu team building exercises while we waited. It made the unexpected delay a fun life learning experience playing two truths and one lie with the employees and their families. As we Embarked on our journey down the Peace River Cheryl guiding us and telling us about the plants and animals (Flora and Fauna as she would say) we stopped several times to rest and dig for fossils. At first our employees were a bit skeptical of getting out of the kayaks to fossil hunt, but after seeing Cheryl and others finding many sharks teeth, turtle shells and bones they quickly joined together and worked as teams to find their own souvenirs of sharks teeth. Upon returning to the thousand trails Resort, Cheryl and the resort staff helped our Company to come together as a team to prepare and serve BBQ dinner to the entire group of 22 employees and family members. After dinner was cleaned up we all worked to build a nice bonfire at the resort fire ring (a bit challenging with wet fire wood). Bonding was had by all, as the adults helped the kids with S'mores. I can highly recommend Palm Bay Kayaking for your next company team-building outing, we did not even realize we were team building with all the fun we had. thank you.
