I'll write about what's good first because what's good is very good. the lobby is divine, that Cyprus marquetry ceiling is just stunning. the courtyard and gardens are beautiful, right out of another era in palm beach, the perfect spot to enjoy any meal.

now the rooms, carry a flash light upon entry. i see most visitors have commented on this problem, so let's jump to the fix because it's not difficult and should happen this summer!! the hotel is a wonderful old building conceived by a noted architect, so no gimmicky solutions will do. back the palm "blinds" away from the windows so that the south Florida light can stream through. replace the windows that don't open, YES THE BELLMAN explained that one of my windows was nailed shut, so that the ocean breezes can make their way in. and buy India Hick's book on Anglo Indian decorating in the tropics and find out what white linen, white gauze, and white paint can do for those rooms that have mahogany furniture and brown, woodwork, brown lamps, brown, brown, brown everything. i want to go back, and i want this hotel to show the rest of palm beach how it's done. get busy, 8 months until Dec 1 2012!

Room Tip: find one with some light!!!!!!!!!

We arrived at the hotel and were shown to our room. The room smelled terrible and the a/c was not working. We called the front desk who called engineering. Engineering agreed that there was a problem, particularly with the odor. We were moved to a huge two bedroom suite. The rooms were amazing, but very dark (like the Omphoy or Grammercy Park). I prefer light rooms during the day. However, we slept extremely well because there was no sunlight. The bed was extremely comfortable. The a/c in the common areas has been upgraded, but there is not much airflow in the rooms. I thought Paula at the front desk was very nice and extremely accomodating.

Negatives:
1. The service at the restaurant was only okay. the food is overrated..average at best, never hot and extremely pricey. If it was amazing, I would not be complaining.
2. We were overcharged by Boulud both at the bar and the pool (service was extremely slow). When the errors were pointed out, they were quite rude about correcting their errors. Check your bill.
3. It can take a long time to get your car due to the awkward configuration of thel front entrance.
4. The gym is very small. There are no mats to stretch. Even if there were mats, there is no room to stretch.

Room Tip: quiet room. this is a pet friendly hotel. so if you have allergies or sensitive, request a pet-free...

This is a beautiful hotel in a great non beach location that simply has terrible service. This is not a beach hotel so if you want easy beach access stay at The Breakers as the whole beach club promise is somewhat of a farce. I think the hotel is well done and charming to look at but the rooms are dark and on the small side. That aside I could be very happy at this hotel if not for the service. The Valet's being the exception the overall service, even in Cafe Boulud was terrible. I am surprised so many individuals give this hotel a good review as we had one encounter after another with bad service and attitude. On top of bad service the staff seemed overwhelmed or put off by simple requests. Getting a drink in the charming bar was difficult and took forever, breakfast was slow, housekeeping was surly, and getting the front desk was sometimes even difficult. I felt very put off given the price and was happy to leave. When staying in Palm Beach avoid the Luxury Favela.

Nice hotel if it wasn't for the uncontrolled dogs, i don't like sharing my lobby chairs, bedspread, chairs in the room with dogs and their butts, disgusting and you get the feel it is the Dumb Friends League not a hotel, i like to relax without hearing or being sniffed out by dogs, rude dog owners and enabling management make this place one to avoid

Hello, i found this place and i thank was the perfect venue for my Beach wedding ceremony and garden reception... When i call they say "is very clear the beach is not in the hotel" sorry but was not "very clear" to me.... so i say ok! maybe we can make the ceremony in the beach of the club ? (it is just 30 minutes and 20 persons in cold season no big thing) and they say 'the beach wedding ceremonys are PROHIBITED IN FLORIDA'!

Are you kidding me ????
So, Why do the have beach wedding photos in their web site ????

This people was not help full in ALL, one assumes the hotel wedding planer must help and look for a solution instead of put more obstacles. I guess my dream wedding will be not here.

Thanks for read. =(

Just returned from a five night stay through American Express.I arrived midday had lunch and went to Frederic Fekkai in the hotel to get my hair done as I was in town on business. Got a beautiful studio room with a terrace a little far from the entry as i had asked for a quiet room since there is a restaurant, Cafe Boulud, in the front. Quiet, calm , boutique hotel recently refurbished. The bathroom is the best in Palm Beach ( I have stayed everywhere). The bed was fine but not outrageous and the pillows were very soft so ask for a lot of them. Great shower, insane bathtub( soaking plus massage). The staff was courteous and efficient. There is no faster room service anywhere and the quality is Cafe Boulud food, no pizzas here but there is a hamburger and a chicken club. The rooms are beautifully furnished and they thought of everything- no last minute call for a shower cap- nothing was missing. A paper on your door every morning and several choices of papers in the restaurant at breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel. I did not go to the beach but they have an arrangement with another hotel ten minutes away. The front often gets congested with cars and so there may be a wait of a few minutes (I like to check out new Bentleys and Ferrari's while waiting for my rental car).My only problem here was my asthma and it took four days for everyone to understand that I had asked for a system override and no spray in my room due to my condition. That was somewhat frustrating. The staff more than made up for it over the long run. If you have asthma you must ask for a VIP override of the system. My only criticism is that in Palm Beach no one turns the air off ever because that is asking for a problem.Beautiful, quiet, old Palm Beach elegance.Make sure that you ask for a quiet room on the top floor.

Room Tip: Highest floor, quiet end.

I have stayed at the Brazilian Court many times while in Palm Beach for work - it is my favorite place in Palm Beach! The rooms are very comfortable and well decorated. And of course the restaurant is fantastic!! My only complaint would be that it is VERY pricy in season, forcing me to stay elsewhere.
