This hotel was is a good value for the area. The beach is right across the street, just a short walk, the pool is in the back of the property on the intercoastal canal. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and attractive lounge furniture and great sunset views from there. The mansions of Palm Beach were just a short scenic drive up S. Ocean Blvd. The four seasons is across the street and it has several restaurants if you want upscale. Our room was smaller than we are used to. Suites were all booked. Bedding could use an upgrade, and the room we had definitely needed a makeover, but it was clean, quiet and the staff was friendly. The very good rating is based mostly on value for the area.

Returning to this hotel and pleased to note that everything is still great. Nothing comparable for the price - back of hotel and pool are on the Intercoastal, front across the street and up a path (no view) to large public beach. Standard breakfast buffet included - which was well staffed and stocked. Everything in room worked and was in good shape. The most comfortable pillows - I wish I had them at home. Plenty of parking. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Ongoing construction (was going on 2 years ago when I was here) to old restaurant on left side of bu...

My wife and I just returned from our 3-night stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. In our opinion, it is the best hotel deal in Palm Beach. We gave this hotel 4-stars for the following reasons:

1. Price. Our room cost a fraction of what it would have cost at any other hotel on Palm Beach. We booked a 1-bedroom suite w/ a king bed and paid just a bit over $200 per night with our AAA discount. When we originally booked, we requested a water-facing room on the intra-coastal side of the hotel. The Fairfield honored our request and gave us a water-facing room on the 3rd floor. It was close to the elevator, but in the corner of the hotel and somewhat private. There was absolutely no noise in the this part of the hotel. We didn't hear any hotel or hallway noise during our entire stay.

2. Room. We booked a 1-bedroom suite. The suite comes with an extra sitting area, separated by a low privacy wall. The sitting area offered a sofa, additional chairs, another flat-screen TV, and easy access to the water-facing balcony. Our room was very clean. The bathroom was on the large side, with two sinks. We had a microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator, and a basket of complimentary snacks and water bottles. The room was fairly updated, and above-average when it comes to similar chain-style hotel rooms. We were very pleased with the room we received.

3. View. We were given a view of the intra-coastal side of the hotel. We were on the top floor of the hotel, and our balcony over-looked the pool area at the back. Beyond the pool area was a wonderful view of the intra-coastal waterway and drawbridge.

4. Location. This hotel is across the street from the public beach. It took us less than 5 minutes to walk to this wonderful beach. As well, it is in a convenient location to drive to almost anything in the Palm Beach area. There was plenty of parking. If you are coming here to use the beach, you cannot beat the location of this hotel.

5. Amenities. The pool area had plenty of chairs and tables w/ umbrellas. The pool was clean and there were plenty of towels for guest use. The breakfast was average, but it was included in the cost of our room. We definitely used the free WiFi and loved the fact that it reached out to the pool area.

We are frequent travelers and we will definitely be back to this hotel. For the price & location, we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Note: I posted a few pictures from our stay here.

Room Tip: The hotel is only 3 stories. We recommend requesting a 3rd story room w/ a view of the intra-coasta...

For Palm Beach, this hotel is a bargain. Hard to find cheaper in a primo Palm Beach location across from the ocean than $170 for 2 nights with a AAA discount (2/18 and 2/19) in high season. It's clean and adequate. But it seriously needs a facelift. Mattress is too soft, even after they put a board between the mattress and box spring. Bath towels are skimpy. Toiletries are ordinary and minimal & include only Pantene shampoo & conditioner and bar soap. No bath gel; no hand/body lotion. No shower cap. On the positive side, breakfast is included, with fruit, cereal, bagels, waffles and terrific coffee. Complimentary bottled water is replenished daily.

Stayed here 1/28 thru 1/30 2 nites. If you are looking to be in a water front hotel this is by far the cheapest and cleanest hotel you are going to find. $139 per nite with a AAA discount and you are across the street from the beach on the water inlet side. Believe me I searched for 2 weeks for a clean, highly ranked hotel on the ocean or across the street from the ocean for under $150 and this is all I found. Everything else that was nice was over $200 per nite. For $139 per nite you are getting a great deal. The hotel is not perfect, but well maintained and clean for a chain hotel. I am a very picky traveler and do not like most hotels I stay in but this one passes the test. My room had 2 queen beds your average room size and nice and clean. The service at the front desk was great they were very accommodating. The free breakfast was good but limited. The pool area was nice, not huge, but had good sun exposure to lay out. The location was good but palm beach downtown shops and restaurants is a 10 minute drive north on ocean blvd. Otherwise there are a few restaurants over the bridge in downtown Lake Worth. We ate in Palm Beach at Testa's I highly recommend eating here! Food was good and they have a early bird special before 6:00pm, $15 pp for one appetizer, 2 entrees, and desert what a great deal especially in palm beach. Overall a nice hotel, but not a fancy 5 star Hilton or JW Marriott. This hotel is good for a short stay 3 nites or less if you are passing through. I could not stay here a week or more just too small of a hotel.

Room Tip: get a room facing south or west you will have a water view and sun. The rooms facing north have a v...

I had allotted myself a few extra dollars so we could stay in 4 and 5 star hotels. Palm Beach was not going to be on the high end this trip.. By chance the night before we left Cocoa Beach I found The Fairfield Inn. It was a reasonable $139 a night using the triple A card. We had stayed at the Courtyard in Cocoa Beach which was lovely and on a busy strip of stores and hotels the night before. One of things that attracted me to these two places was the rewards from Marriott I would receive. Marriott has never let me down, and it did not this time. At the Fairfield you get to stay on a corner property with a pool, and jacuzzi. The bed and room were comfortable and clean. In the morning you get a breakfast that included yogurt, fresh fruit to take with you or eat there, hard boiled eggs or a breakfast sandwich and more. This is a serve yourself so you do not have to tip anyone. It is included free of charge in your hotel fee. We shared a table with another couple. They do accommodate familes, handicapped, seniors, and everyone else. If you go.. travel down the street to see all the luxurious condos, Worth Street is nearby, and large gated homes with shrubs as high up as 15 feet is a must see experience. We ate dinner at a place called Bob's Crab House. It is on Zagat's list and will not disappoint you. It is casual and affordable... It is a little drive away from the hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed on the second floor.

It's nothing short of miraculous that this affordable hotel is right in Palm Beach -- the beach is right across the street, and it's an easy walk to all the bars and restaurants in downtown Lake Worth. Rooms are quiet and clean --this isn't a luxury hotel but it's perfectly adequate. Prices are obviously much better in the off-season. I've stayed here and have had friends and relatives stay here -- the staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there is a large posse of 'regulars' who come and stay for extended periods in the winter, and they can be a little territorial about the common areas.

Room Tip: You want the south side in the winter -- more sun. Ask for a room away from outside doors -- incomi...
