We arrived late, at midnight due to delayed flights. The staff opened the kitchen and made us soup, sandwiches, beer and wine.. Absolutely outstanding. Hotel is old traditional, but clean and comfortable, rooms fair sized, Internet works would stay again. Room rate very good

For my birthday this year, a couple of dear friends got together and bought a stay at The Chesterfield, with breakfast the next morning for me as my gift. I'm one of those people who is hard to buy for because I don't need anymore "stuff" and they knew we both work very long days and that a night away would be treasured, even though our night away was basically "just around the corner." We left the laptop home and turned the cell phones off!

I checked in, in the late afternoon before hubby finished his work day. Had trouble finding the valet, so I carried my own bag inside. I only had one bag, so it wasn't a big deal, however I have visited this location numerous times for private lunches, as well as various events and the valet service has always been an issue. There are often times where you have to go look for them and when leaving, especially where there is an event with many attendees, one can easily wait 15-20 minutes for your vehicles. However, this review is on our stay, so I will remain focused on that.

I planned a special "date" and hubby met me in The Leopard Lounge for happy hour and a few snacks and a glass of wine. There was lovely piano music playing and there's a small dance floor where several people were taking advantage of it. For happy hour, the bar has a small selection of fresh veggies, some cheese and coconut shrimp. Granted the light bites really aren't anything to write home about, but one cannot complain about something that is free, right? (Although that's never stopped anyone else from complaining)

While I know the food in the restaurant is quite good, we decided after happy hour to go elsewhere for dinner.

Our room, a corner deluxe king was quite nice, old style keys with a beautiful key ring that had the hotel logo on it. I actually wished they had sold those key rings, it would be nice to have kept as a memory, however this will not be the last time we stay at The Chesterfield, so perhaps on a future visit there will come a time, where I'll be able to buy one of their key rings.

The room was nicely decorated, with a few beverages in the fridge that we were complimentary. The bathroom spacious and well lit and there was even a wonderful lighted make-up mirror.

Being an old hotel, you'd think it was noisy, but it was not. It was equal to, if not better, than many of the renovated "high end" hotels that we have stayed in.

Our breakfast the next morning was quite nice, although the continental breakfast, included with our room, consisted of a lot of sweet pastries, which is something I don't really eat, but for just a few dollars more we were able to add a a variety of foods to make the breakfast healthy and of course, delicious. The upcharge was extremely reasonable for the additional choices to add to the continental breakfast.

We've never really done a "stay-cation" before, but I think this is something I'd like to do again. And, I can say for certain that the next time we do decide to get away, while really staying home, The Chesterfield will be the place that we'll go.

The service on all counts (except valet) is exceptional, from the Concierge, to the bar staff, to the restaurant wait staff.

Room Tip: King rooms are usually 2nd or 3rd floor and on a corner.

I can not say enough nice things about this hotel and it's wonderful staff. We went for a girls getaway, age ranges from late twenties to early forty's, and stayed in the double suite that had 2 twin beds and a pull out sofa with 2 bathrooms.

We had turndown service every night and a full refrigerator of complementary drinks. We were allowed to bring our own wine to dinner with exclusion of any corking fees. The food there is AMAZING! Great free parking and walking distance to Worth Ave and the beach.

Great music at the Leopard Lounge for happy hour and a funky dance band at night, what a HOOT! It is not a young crowd by any means, but very fun. We found no reason to go any place else on the island for dinner or entertainment.

Special thanks to Sadie, Tara and Gerard and to all the staff for making us feel so welcome in your beautiful boutique hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in 310 at the end of the hall....no noise at all.

I stayed at The Chesterfield in Palm Beach for only one night on a business trip. My colleague and I both really enjoyed our visit to this boutique hotel.

The hotel is in a great location-several blocks from Worth Avenue. We were able to check-in early. The rooms were on the smaller side but ample and perfectly charming and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. From the old school style room keys to the delightful fruit and cookies upon arrival were just some of the small touches that make this place very unique in a world full of cookie cutter hotels. We dined at the restaurant for both lunch and breakfast, and the meals were fantastic. The chicken soup is delicious. The pool area was like a secluded oasis with tall hedges. You felt like you were at a friend's posh home. We also liked the free-wifi. Always a plus!

Lastly and most importantly, the staff went above and beyond. From the moment you walked in the hotel, you were met with genuine smiles from the staff. Everyone was so nice! I highly recommend The Chesterfield. It's just a wonderful place for business or pleasure.

An attentive staff made a lovely junior suite in an elegant and charming hotel even more special. The location is great, a short walk to the beach and even shorter (2 blocks) to Worth Avenue. The staff is friendly yet professional and they fill the need even before you realized you had one. Ice is delivered at 6:30 along with turn down service without being requested. Valet service for your car is prompt and included with the accommodations. No in/out fees. And the Leopard Lounge - good drinks, snacks, piano player - adds to the atmosphere. The food and service are top notch. Stick around for the live band and dancing on weekends. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and cared for. We'll come back!

Room Tip: Try the Junior Suite. Loads of room, 3 closets and many, many drawers. Refrigerator stocked with s...
