“Great Family Resort”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

Every year, I visit the Breakers with my family for Easter. The Breakers is a classic hotel that has been in Palm Beach for years. The staff are welcoming along with the clean and professional rooms. The only complaint I have is that not all rooms have a bath tub. I find it critical for all hotel rooms to have a bathtub and a good amount of rooms at the Breakers do not. Overall, I love this hotel and I cannot wait to return.

Room Tip: Paying a little extra for a partial ocean view is worth it. Also, request a room with a bathtub and...

I rolled the dice on a blind 5 star Priceline deal and was surprised when I got The Breakers! The price was about $250 and included a free breakfast. We stayed there around 8 years ago and enjoyed it then but this time we were really blown away.

Rooms Etc - The rooms are beautifully done (i.e Ritz, Four Seasons quality). You get the beauty of a classical historical resort (landscape, architecture etc.) with the modern luxuries (tv in the bathroom mirror, Bose audio). The beds were very comfortable and the furnishings were first class. Our rooms were a little small but the only thing we felt was missing was a desk for our laptops and a sitting chair (not a big deal for us as we spent little time on our computers...wifi was free).

Pools - Four pools to choose from (one for adults only). We enjoyed an afternoon relaxing at the pool with food and drinks from the poolside bar. Lots of comfortable lounge chairs to enjoy the sun, fresh air and water. My daughter and I went for a short walk on the beach but after a few minutes we decided the pool was where we wanted to be. There are a number of pool cabanas...we didn't rent one but they looked fantastic (TV, private bathroom, couches etc).

Food - We arrived at the Italian Restaurant 30 minutes after they stopped seating. After checking to make sure the kitchen could do their part they welcomed us in. We had great service and great food (Fresh Bread (3 types), Salad, Snapper Picatta, Pasta, Cookies, Cannoli). Everything was wonderful. The next morning we ate breakfast at the Beach Club Restaurant. Breakfast buffet was wonderful (omelet bar, eggs benedict, waffles, bacon, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, and just about any other breakfast item you could want). Service again was great and they let everyone know in advance that they were getting close to breaking down the buffet.

Service - Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was efficient and friendly, valets offered us bottled water when they brought up our car, the restaurant staff were wonderful.

Kids - Kids were having fun and there were plenty of activities to keep them busy, Swimming, Beach, Pick up soccer game on the poolside lawn, game room near the Italian Restaurant.

Conclusion - We LOVED The Breakers and consider it one of the best hotels we have stayed at in a long time. We won't be waiting so long to go back and are already talking about a longer stay next time.

If the rating system could go from one to 100 I would give this hotel a 1000!! From the minute you pull up to this beautiful hotel you know this is going to be a great time. Check in was so simple, our room was available within 15 minutes of arrival and we did get there early. Notice all the girls they all wear buns interesting. Our rooms were very nice and extra clean. No turn down service or coffee maker in the room, but I called the front desk and within minutes a coffee maker arrived that is the kind of service you get here. The hotel is so stunning you do not know where to look up down sideways just gorgeous. They had 4 pool areas and they were great from adult to children only. the beach was small and the water was rough so I stayed at the pools each day. Food is great but expensive which I knew about but who cares it was vacation time. Wish I would have booked dinner in the hotel I will next time and there will be a next time. We had breakfast included and what a buffet that was! Truly a wonderful stay and everyone there made sure of it at all times.

Room Tip: all the rooms are good

I just sadly arrived home after a weekend stay-cation at one of my favorite hotels in the world. From the instant you pull up to this Grand Beauty, you can feel all the love, blood, sweat and tears Henry M Flagler put into creating this wonderful place. From magnificant arcitecture and art to impecable service, great restaurants and perfect guest rooms...It just doesn't get any better. Gorgeous grounds, 5 lovely pools and excellent restaurants. Great for couples or families. Oh did I mention I only live 25 minutes away yet love to Get Away for the weekend.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocenfront room.

This is my second visit to the Breakers and this visit was even more lovely than the first. The staff is fantastic from the moment you drive up to the door. Everything is handled seamlessly by the staff, including luggage transfer. The rooms are traditionally styled, but with lovely updated bathrooms. My handicapped accessible room had a lovely seating area, king size bed and a bathroom with a perfect walk in shower. Soft robes are provided during your stay the latest ion hair dryer and other necessary amenities. Everything is spotless. The scenery is perfection, manicured gardens and the beautiful oceanfront. And the interior of the hotel exemplifies European elegance, with hand painted ceilings and amazing architectural elements.

The resort was quite full but still quiet and nice. There is a small gift shop and coffee shop and many lovely dining options. Watch the historical video on your room TV about the history of the hotel. I recommend an even numbered room that overlooks the ocean if there is one available.

Room Tip: Choose an even numbered room. Room 2100 and ones around it overlook the ocean and the hotel's c...

This resort is very beautiful and historic and although it is old the rooms are very updated with all the latest amenities. Even though it is a large resort you can get wifi anywhere on the grounds. If you have forgotten something don't worry they will have it!!!

We spent a magnificent long week-end. One of the oldest but one of the very best, even though expensive hotels we have ever stayed. The rooms are excellent with great view of the Atlantic. Sun-rise is beautiful. The atrium ceiling is beautiful and the old tapestries on the walls are exquisite. Several restaurants are always busy. Food is excellent especially at the Flagler steak house. Over everything the service is out of this world. No hesitation in recommending this hotel. Really a historic place

Room Tip: Ocean view is the best
