“Course was in good shape, just fine for me (bogey golfer)”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

I had a great time playing the Nicklaus course. The Nicklaus course was much more wide open than I expected allowing for driver off of most of the par 4 and 5's. I overheard the pro-shop people saying that the Meadows course is very tight. The greens were in good condition (not burned out at all) but seemed a bit slower with not much break, so it wasn't until the second nine to just hit it straight without reading too much into it. We played the #2 tee boxes and it was a nice distance and seemed like most holes over the water was right at 210 yards. The bunkers seemed like they had decent sand.

After hole 9 it doesn't take you back to the clubhouse, so you are need to make sure to get drinks from the beverage cart when she comes around. I would have liked to see more water on each hole with how hot it was playing. It seemed like water was on every 4th hole or so?

The clubhouse staff was very courteous and helpful. The driving range had free balls and the putting areas had 2 different greens cut supposedly closer to each course.

Staying at the Marriot gave us a discount which was nice $97.98 after tax and a golf marker.

I would like to see if playing just the front 9 again would be possible as it seemed harder than the back 9.

Each of us in our 4 some had our different kids of laser and GPS devices. So that is 100% recommended as they are not provided.

“Great course!”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

Beautiful course with a lot of water. Excellent challenge. Got a great deal on Golfnow.com for an afternoon tee time. Hot but course was well worth it. I'd play again for full price!

“Nice Course but not for Bogey Golfers”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

Very nice and difficult course. Better to be a single digit handicap or could be too frustrating. Has some nice ocean and marsh views. Water comes in to play on several holes but more often than not it is for decoration/mind games than real threats.

Biggest disappointment was carts didn't have GPS (because they wanted you to buy the yardage book). Course does not loop back on itself so no stopping for snacks at the turn (although there is an opportunity for a quick detour around the 12th hole). So you are dependent upon the cart girl which happened to pass by twice during the round.

“Not a Great Value”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

Paid $94 with tax for this course. The course is okay, but the greens were in poor shape-- sandy, bumpy and rough. There are also too many shots (IMHO) that require some course knowledge. I would not play it again for more than $50-$60.

Staff was very friendly and it is only 20 minutes from Panama City Beach area.

“Challenging course....but greens could be better”
Reviewed 28 March 2014 via mobile

You have to have some skills to play this course no matter where you tee off. Hazards of sand and water everywhere and hole 5 borders impossible for those with average skill. Greens to grow out some but fair. Scared how much tougher this would be when rough grows out. Yikes.
