I read the reviews before booking and almost didn't, but glad I did.......Me and my sister road the party bus to Tallahassee to see Luke Bryan, and knew when we got back we would not be safe to drive home, so looked for a close inexpensive hotel and we were just going to sleep a few hours, so I figured why not........We didn't get there til after midnight owner was very nice, I has asked since we were so late and didn't even need to finish my sentence he extended our check out time, with no extra chage....the beds were very comfortable........rooms looked clean had no issues at all, will stay again here for sure....we enjoy staycations and do so often, so yes very pleased I decided to go with this motel!!

I've never written a bad review, but this hotel was gross. Carpet was dirty, kitchen was very old, remote control was greasy. The walls are thin and we can hear the people upstairs... Checkout is at 10am and charge $10 every 30mins after.

Very old and shabby rooms and worn out equipment. Morbid receptionist - quite disinterested. Then discovered cockroach infestation and had to leave - disgusting. fortunately we were able to check into the Sleep Inn next door which was infinitely better for only $10 more. Those people who give any favourable review of the Summer breeze are doing their Trip Advisor colleagues a dis-service.

We originally booked this hotel for 3 nights but left after our 1st night. When checking in the hotel it smelt like wet animals. It also had a bird cage with the bird in it and the cage door open. There were cats walking around the parking lot as the staff were feeding these cats right outside the main office door. When we checked in to our room there was a very foul odor as we opened our door. The bathroom mirror was not cleaned from the previous stay because someone wrote on the mirror so & so loves so & so. It also had mildew on the mirror. We booked a room with a kitchenette thinking we would be able to cook but we were only provided with ONE skillet that didn't have a handle and 1 plastic bowl with 4 plates. We did have one knife that had food caked on it, one spatula & one big spoon that had been burnt. The toaster that was on the counter was very old and out dated (rusted) and dirty. The refrigerator light was not working. The stove's eyes were barely hanging on with aluminum foil under the eyes and very rusted at the bottom. The door you had to slam in order to close it and it barely even locked. The beds were old and out dated. We happened to bring some extra blankets and laid on top of those because we didn't want to sleep on the sheets or pillows. The very next morning we checked out and got our money back for the other 2 nights.Would not recommend to anyone else.

Room Tip: Do not book this.Just disgusting.

We were heading down to Panama City Beach from Birmingham for a long weekend. We weren't wanting to spend a whole lot of money on a hotel and we needed a place that allowed pets. This place met both of our requirements. We had to pay a $50 damage deposit for our 7 month old puppy, which we did receive back upon check out. The front desk staff was nice and so were the housekeepers. We could walk to most attractions in the area, such as Ripley's Believe it or Not Odditorium, Wonderworks, multiple mini golf places, and the beach. We were approx. 6 miles away from Pier Park where all of the main stream shopping is which was nice and there are plenty of places to eat with in that stretch between the hotel and Pier Park. We would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it if you have pets.

Room Tip: If you want a nonsmoking room make sure you mark it on your reservation when booking it.
