While in town visiting family, we had the opportunity to experience Village Tavern. I'm glad we did. The restaurant is beautiful and cozy - dark, warm colors, an intimate layout, and interesting art on the walls make up the main restaurant and bar area. We visited for lunch on a weekend. The restaurant was full and had an energetic vibe to it, but not so noisy you couldn't have a conversation at your table. The menu offered a vast selection with so many tantalizing choices, it was hard to choose. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. She always seemed available when you needed her but didn't, as so many do, hover or check in too many times. The food was wonderful - served hot and plated attractively. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions you get. We probably would have been fine if my husband and I had split the entrée. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
