Went to a Dolphins game and checked in with little difficulty. However, the parking is far away from all the rooms. The room was dirty and had hair in the bathtub. The bathroom door hit the toilet and did not close. The bedframes were rusted. One bed had multiple cigarette burns in it (non-smoking room). Went to the game on Sunday and came back to the hotel. Couldn't get in the room. Went to the front desk and they accused us of smoking in the room and burning the blanket. Explained that we didn't smoke and I have asthma. Received two more phone calls about this within the hour. The next morning, received an early phone call threatening to charge our credit card for damage to the blanket. Had to go down to the room with hotel staff and they didn't "smell" any smoke. No appologies. Stay away.

We were in five and have just returned from a trip and stayed at The Grand Palms Resort for 5 nights. The place is beautifull, landscape, golf course, restaurant and the pool. Everything is nice. The people did go an extra mile to take care of us. We didn't know the area and they helped us a lot. The valet guys helped us with our luggages, and the waitress always smiling. We loved it. We will definetely go back next year and recommend this property to anyone going to South Florida
Thank you guys for the pleasant stay.
See ya next year by September.

Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. The website is very deceiving - you would think it's a nice resort with many ammenities. In reality, however, it's a dingy, stinky, moldy, hotel that is in need of serious renovations ( complete with fake flowers on the table and 1960's decor).. The maintenance guy running after the ducks and the racoon was the only interesting aspects. The pool was dirty, chairs were broken, and the tiki bar was closed. In the 1960's, I'm sure this place was decent..however, in 2006 you're better off staying in your car (or the Hampton Inn by I-75 where we're staying next time).

This hotel is in need of serious renovations. The rooms and lobby all smell very musty. We were the only ones at the Continental breakfast for 2 days in a row. The rest of our family stayed up the street (at a chain hotel), and their breakfast was so much nicer. The location is good, the grounds are in decent shape, but the rooms are just motel quality. We got terrible service from the staff and were charged for coffee because we didn't present our breakfast vouchers before we ordered! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone but an avid golfer who must stay at a hotel with a golf course.

Please beware and look elsewhere!
The suites are old and dingy. We didnt have enough towels and literally couldnt get the front desk to anwer the phone for 30 minutes! Front door had a huge gap underneath and we didnt feel safe at all! Tv remotes didnt work, the air conditioning was so loud we got very little sleep! Comp. breakfast was a JOKE!!!! Gross eggs and potatoes! Service was horrible. The pool was OK but they bar wasnt open (by the pool and vending machines were out of order).
Had to walk a half mile to the inside bar to get a bottle of water which they were out --YES OUT OF WATER!!!!
Manager invited us personally (with the water situation) to a BBQ for the guests! Got down there with my daughters and it was $5.00 for a hotdog! No thanks and never again!!!!
Way overpriced for such a poor place!
