“The Only Place to Watch the Blue Angels”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

I spent an hour at the top of the Pensacola Lighthouse watching the Blue Angels practice and will never watch them from anywhere else ever again. The volunteers were magnificient to tell you about the lighthouse, its history, the ghosts and what to expect when the Blues flew. You have to book your ticket in advance on their website and it is worth every penny. The view of the bay, 3 Forts and the Naval Air Station is like no other. If you visit Pensacola, you HAVE to see this attraction and book your ticket to watch the Blue Angels on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. There are only 20 tickets available per practice so its not crowded at all. This is a must see for all ages!

“Fabulous views”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

It had been years since we have been here and they have done alot of renovation since that last visit. We were very impressed with being able to climb to the top and walk around the top to view the area for miles. My husband enjoyed being able to see the Photo School that he attended when he was in the Navy some 33 years ago. My granddaughter wanted to go here for her 8th birthday to go to the top of the lighthouse and to go out to the beach area and fly a kite afterward. We were blessed with a beautiful clear day to do that. What beautiful memories we made here. There are 177 steps to the top, with a winding spiral staircase to the top that you can see down to the bottom as you climb (not for those that fear heights for sure). It was a bit challenging having to move over for those coming down with very little protection for little ones. I really like to feel a little bit more secure when I'm up that high but thankful that I was able to make the 177 steps to see the beautiful view.

Really recommend that if your visiting the Pensacola area, make this a must on your list to visit.

“Great piece of history on the Gulf Coast”
Reviewed 16 June 2014 via mobile

The climb up the 177 stairs is well worth the view from the top,of Pensacola Bay and the Naval Air Station and the Blue Angles parked on the tarmac. The volunteer at the top filled us in on the history of the lighthouse and surrounding area all very interesting.

“Climb to the top!”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

We LOVED the Pensacola lighthouse! The day we went, we only had about an hour to spend here. I would suggest you leave a little bit more time so that you can see all of the various rooms as well as watch the Ghost Hunter video. The view from the top is fantastic! Great photo taking opportunity as you can also see many of the planes at the NAS. There is a fee, but it's only $6.00.
