One of the best. I would recommend the NAS and museum to anyone. You have history, engineering, aviation all in one location. Throw in the Pensacola Lighthouse across the street and you can spend a day or more without spending any money on admission.

“Great place for the family!”

Went there for husbands Navy Reunion. This place was full of airplanes! The Blue Angels are represented, just look up! Plus the Angels fly nearby. There is a very good cafe for lunch and snacks, great food and not too expensive. There is a library and research area so if you have something you are looking for that pertains to the Navy they can help you find it. Outside there is a trolley tour of the planes, jets and helicopters that are parked. Unfortunately you can't just go out and wander around. Still a very interesting place. Make sure to watch the videos. Would definitely go back. Plan on 4 hours or more. It is free by the way!

“museum tour guide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 November 2013

First trip a few years ago was o.k. second, better. As they say, three times the charm. Finally let a guide walk around and tell us the background on EVERYTHING and the DIFFERENCE it made. Love, love military and war stories and they have the best in the world to see and tell about. Will go back again. We were there Oct.2013 and made 3 trips during the week. Just wish everybody could visit. Not enough space to tell it all. And you'll meet all those war hero's that are visiting! And that's a privilege!

“WOW, what an awesome place to spend the day!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

I have traveled all over the world and by far, the Naval Aviation museum onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola is by far the best aviation museum I've ever seen. There's an IMAX theater inside with fantastic shows, the Cubi bar, serving lunch and bar drinks (family friendly), and plenty of FREE parking!
Also, the Pensacola Lighthouse is just a short walk accros the street, and Gulf Islands National Seashores, Fort Barrancas, is just a short walk from the museum entrance. One can spend the entire day checking these things out. And, keep a close eye out when outside, you may get to see the Blue Angels flying around as they are often out doing training and test flights overhead!
