This museum is housed in the beautiful old Pensacola City Hall built in the early 1900s. There are artifacts of West Florida, Old Pensacola, shipwrecks, the Civil War, the collection of T.T. Wentworth as well as many other interesting items. This museum is a history lesson for young and old and there is no admission.

The museum is 3 floors of which the first is the history of pensacola in the early years. Then the second floor is wentworth's collection that I suppose they rotate. And the top floor is a special exhibit. It's a nice museum. I was expecting a lot more of his odd collection especially because the building is huge and it seemed that only half of it was occupied by exhibits. It's free and worth a quick visit if your downtown.

Excellent collections of one mans life in Pensacola, Has variety of items, different rooms are themed. Coke room is cool, as is Mr. Wentworth's private collection room. Free admission always appreciated. SHouldn't miss this if visiting Pensacola.

Overall, an interesting and sometimes strange collection of items amassed by Wentworth. One floor was dedicated to the history of the area, one floor to the collections, and one floor to special exhibits--at this time alligators, which our five year-old grandson enjoyed.

Seemed kind of odd the things that were int h is museum. It seemed liek all the junk this guy collected through out his life was massed up and put in this building. It was fun none the less and we made it more fun by interacting with some of the attractions inside! LOL
