“Another glorious stay at Eden.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 September 2013

After more than 20 years and numerous visits to Eden, it is still just as wonderful as the first time. The fall rates at Eden after mid-August are a great bargain at nearly half the summer rates. The weather and water are warm, but the crowds are gone. The staff is excellent and the grounds wonderfully maintained. The location between Pensacola and Orange Beach is perfect. Perdido Key is quiet compared to some of the nearby beach areas, but close enough to the action to go for a nice meal or to visit area sites. Our 2 bedroom condo on the 6th floor west (606) had updates in the kitchen and baths, but the furniture in the living room and dining room was uncomfortable (particularly the chairs) and really was past its prime. The living room and both bedrooms each had a flat screen TV, which were very nice. One of the cabinet doors in the kitchen was missing which was not very appealing. The kitchen was well stocked, except for pots and frying pans. We brought our boat and used the excellent free boating facility across the street. We can't wait to return.

We just returned from our stay at the Eden Condominiums in Perdido Key. What a great place! Our unit W1400 had the most incredible view of the beach and Perdido Bay. The furnishings were first class. The property is one of the older ones, but is extremely well maintained. The exterior was freshly painted and clean, clean, clean. There are glass elevators for both wings. The pool area is fabulous with rock waterfalls, grottos with lounge chairs, grotto showers, palm trees, rocky pathways and beautiful flowers. There is an indoor pool as well as the football field sized outdoor pool. Beach access is excellent with a paved path to the beach, showers, and a flip flop rack. The beach is spectacular, fine white sand and beautiful green water. Security is also very good at this property with gated access and covered parking. The unit itself was huge - large spacious living room/dining room area with comfortable furniture. The kitchen has been updated with granite and stainless and is also very large. The unit has one bedroom and two bathrooms, convenient if traveling with kids on the sofa bed. There is a washer and dryer in the main bath. The master bedroom is on the beach side, so very quiet with access to the balcony. The bed is super comfortable and the a/c is great. The master bathroom has a wonderful jacuzzi, double sinks, separate shower/toilet room and a large walk in closet to keep suitcases. Bring your own hangers, not a one in the unit. Lots and lots of closet space throughout the condo. The balcony has pub height chairs and table and a great planter filled with fresh mint, perfect for mojitos. A few issues, the blender on the counter did not work, but I found another in the cabinet. The housekeeping staff needs a little more training, Cheerios under the coffee table and the toilet in the master bath had been overlooked. For the cleaning fee we paid I wasn't about to clean up from the previous tenants. I informed the management and hope that the small imperfections will be corrected. We had a great time and just loved the VIEW!!!! Also, very romantic moonlite nights on the balcony. Look for the Blue Angels practicing their flyovers, the building must be a landmark for them. Lots of fun.

Room Tip: West wing rooms seem to get less afternoon sun. Higher floor rooms offer the best views.

We just spent a week with family in 306E and enjoyed the views and condo. It was well equipped except no pizza cutter. It seems Eden cared about their guest.
The condos were not busy, so everything was quiet. The best restaurants are on Canal St.

My family of 5 stayed here for 7 days - we have vacationed at various places in the panhandle (mostly in the Destin area) so this area was new to us. The Pool was beautiful - they should keep a skimmer close by for the guests to use - there was some bugs floating- which happens in Florida. The room E202 was very nice and spacious for all of us, the balcony was nice to watch the dolphins and herons in the morning as long as the people above us were not smoking out on theirs. The gardens were directly below us and boy were the water fountains loud and they never get turned off so it sounds like pouring rain outside all the time. my recommendation is the West side if you don't want to hear that noise - I like the sound of the ocean and was not able to hear that until I got away from the resort. Also the boating dock across the street is a great place to watch the sunset! Overall i thought it was a bit pricy too.

Room Tip: Rooms on the West side so you don't have to hear the fountains.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2013

My husband, daughter, and I stayed at Eden Condominiums from July 20-July 25, 2013 in W-302. We had a lovely time. The beach area is beautiful! The sand is white and soft, the water a greenish-brown color. There are chairs/umbrellas for rent on the beach, but we brought our own fold-out chairs. The condo had everything you need, including a washer and dryer, lots of cooking utensils, and a great view from the balcony of the pools and beach. The property as a whole is well-maintained, and it is removed from the craziness of nearby Orange Beach. There are plenty of stores, restaurants, and souvenier shops within driving distance. We took a couple of outings: sight-seeing at Civil War-era Fort Morgan, and to the town of Milton to kayak. We had some rain showers during our stay, but plenty of sunshine as well. There was a constant breeze which kept the temperature on the cooler side. Our condo was well-furnished and comfortable for the three of us. There were just a few things that we were disappointed in: no t.v. signal, no lounge chairs on the balcony to sunbathe from (there were patio chairs, however), and there were people next to us in W-301 who liked to smoke a lot on their balcony while we were out on ours, and we could smell it quite strongly. Nice surprise--during our last morning there, we saw dolphins swimming close to shore. We will definitely consider coming back here, again!

I can't believe all of the glowing reviews for this place. This is one tired property needing some serious updating and TLC. There are a myriad of examples - the small rusty water fountain out in front; the lobby with sad, colorless furniture; the walkways by the pool needing to be pressure-washed and painted; touch-up paint needed everywhere in the building; our room furnished with blah and dated decor and a giant dusty plastic plant in the living room and dirty dishes in the cabinet; the room balcony needing cleaning and paint, with sliding glass doors that are dirty and hard to open, and so on. If you are looking for anything remotely related to luxury, this isn't it. Very disappointed.
