“Pricey but worth it”
Reviewed 9 February 2014

So different from other restaurants in the area as the portions were just the right size and no chips with our selections! We had an excellent prawn starter followed by short ribs. Both dishes were elegantly presented and the service was first class. Atmosphere was good - we arrived after subset so could not see the views but will definitely come back for an earlier meal to take in sunset

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! You're right - no french fries at Tarpon Lodge. We are proud to say that we don't have a deep fryer.

We will be sure to share your review with our restaurant team.

“What a marvelous restaurant/hotel”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

We celebrated my moms 90 birthday at tarpon lodge. I can't begin to describe how wonderful the management was. We had a private party. Th food was delicious, the staff was so very warm and accommodating. The sunset...oh my. What a setting. We are going back in a few days to have a quiet dinner in their restaurant, and I expect great things. Definitely a highlight of our stay in pine island.

Thank you for writing a review!

We can't tell you how blessed we felt to be part of such a wonderful woman's 90th birthday celebration! It was an absolute pleasure for us to host your family at the lodge this past weekend. We have to agree - Mother Nature did arrange for a beautiful sunset too.

We look forward to seeing you in a few days for your quiet dinner!

“A Classic”
Reviewed 2 February 2014

A terrific, cozy restaurant with an interesting history in a part of truly "old Florida." Nice menu variety for lunch and dinner. The food is always fresh and while not overly adventurous, the quality and prep are flawless. The bar area is a nice room with a fireplace and Mike the bartender is a great guy, as is Chere (sp?), the cheerful restaurant manager. The owner is almost always on site - nice to see that attention to detail these days.

“Charming lodge with excellent food”
Reviewed 24 January 2014

Arrived just in time for the spectacular view of the sunset. The fire was burning in the bar which created a warm cozy feel as it was very cold (for Florida that is). We were seated immediately in the main dining room and our server promptly took our order. All four of us ordered the fresh grouper which was fantastic. My husband has an allergy and they were very accommodating. I will return with 8 of us next time and I am sure we not be disappointed.

Thank you for the review!

Our chefs prepare the finest fish from local waters differently each evening so the Fresh Catch of the Day multiplied by 4 sounds like a wonderful dinner. We cook all of the meals to order and our chefs are happy to accommodate a guest with an allergy.

We look forward to hosting your group of 8. We do recommend making reservations for dinner. Our season is picking up, and, in addition, our tables only seat 6 guests and we would like to have a large table ready for your party!

“Lovely spot with great food”
Reviewed 20 January 2014 via mobile

We stopped there on a Sunday afternoon based on a recommendation of a gallery owner. Thanks! Great service, our server Jeff was attentive but not overbearing. We had salads, fish tacos and white pizza. We all agreed that the food was delicious. Our cocktails were also very good. After lunch we strolled down to the water and around the grounds. Perfect afternoon!
Will be back next time we are in Pine island.
