went to mustangs and mustangs april 13. Very nice and interesting place. Kermit Weeks , the owner flew a couple planes and talked to the audience. Kermit is a very friendly guy. We very much enjoyed the displays etc. One thing I found interesting is the diners windows. When you eat lunch the diners windows are as tall as the hangers so you dont miss anything while inside.
Going thru the b17 was especially interesting. Anyone interested in planes will love this place.
Planning on going back soon.

So many great things happened on this visit. I really enjoyed the many vintage aircraft in the hangar and loved the 'in character' guides who are very knowledgeable about all aspects of the aircraft. Rosie aka 'riveting Rosie' told us all about the wonderful Merlin powered P-51 Mustang flown by the owner Kermit Weeks.
What a fantastic aircraft.

After the flight he stood by the plane and talked about his goals and ambitions for the future. I was suprised by what he said about the analogy of flight with personal development . Flight being about pushing our boundaries, reaching beyond ourselves and realising freedom. I was impressed by the time he took to speak with people - especially the children - and to sign books with personal messages.

A fabulous added bonus was the visit of two WASPs. Betsy, now 93, told me how she flew at age 20 and it was the best time of her life. She told me 'you just put on a suit, open the door, get in and fly - freedom' and she still had the light in her eyes. What a priviledge to meet her.

The other highlight was the reconstruction of a B-17 in action. How brave they were!

A fantastic day topped by my first open cockpit flight in
Waldo's restored New Standard D-27. Amazing!

Didn't get to see and do everything. A must for another visit.

Kermit Weeks' Fantasy of Flight is a great way to spend time if you're in the Orlando or Tampa area and are looking for something very different.

A large complex with many, many things to see and do. From the initial "immersion experience" when you really do feel like you're going into night battle in a C-46 transport to the daily flying demonstration by Mr. Weeks to a good lunch in an incredible recreation of a 1930's era diner, you're in for a real treat.

Lots of tours available. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. An incredible collection of vintage aircraft. Zip lines for the kids. Go! You won't regret it.

I visited on my own, leaving my wife and two daughters back in our villa. I had an enjoyable morning here which was capped off by taking the biplane trip for $70. There are 2 hangers which you can walk through freely and 2 others which you are taken to on a trolley.

Not a great attraction if you're not an aviation enthusiast. The entrance fee of about $30 for me alone was good value, but if the family had gone it would have been an expensive visit. The biplane trip was fantastic - a real, visceral experience compared to the theme park rides - the smell of the engine is wonderful. I would recommend it for anyone.

Wow what an experience . Never thought that the b-17 Flying Fortress was so small inside. Now I know what our veterans experienced during the war. Lots of info and hands on things for everyone to enjoy. Best presentations ever of aircraft and going behind the scenes to see restorations that go on here. Never a dull moment here. Everyone so knowledgeable and they were dressed i period costume. If you are ever in central Florida do not miss this, very easy to find. Loved it and plan on taking my guests here when they come to visit us. We got to see the p-51 mustang in flight along with other vintage aircraft.
