Our experience at this timeshare was wonderful. I rented this timeshare for 2 weeks. From Checkin to checkout, it was a perfect experience. This was our first time renting a timeshare and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable experience, vacation. We had a 2 room suite in the Ateca bldg. The room was very clean, They give you all the amenities you could possibly need for your stay. The only thing missing was the food. No pressure sales from the front desk. Wonderful staff. Would defineately rent a week again.

Just returned from this property.
Our first room was in the main building 3rd floor. As other reviews state, furnishings are outdated. As we have exchanged many timeshares over 25 years, it's disappointing to get room like this, but it happens. What was inexcusable was that the kitchen counter and dining table had dried gunk on it and a light oil in places. Now, walking into the room you couldn't see it, but touching the surface was disgusting. The soaking tub in the room had a film and fingerprints all over it. Months of dust and dirt was visible behind end tables. Opened the microwave and found dried burnt food on the glass bottom plate, the front of the microwave also had an oily film. The room smelled of mildew. An important point of this story; just in front of the sofa I found a toe nail clipping. A gift from a previous guest.

A call to the front desk was met with a promise housekeeping would correct the issues. Six hours later we return to find no one had entered the room to clean. Having the hebee gebee's with the cleanliness of the room, we requested a room change. The night front desk manager was sympathetic, but was unable to make any change. We spent the first night very uncomfortable and feeling unclean.

Next morning a call to the property manger's assistant (manager was off site for the week) resulted in a room change to one of the towers.

The new room had very modern in furnishings...BUT kitchen counter and dining table was sticky and had dried gunk in it. The kitchen floor was so sticky our shoes stuck and made noise as we walked over it. Another call to the front desk, another promise housekeeping would correct the problems. Two hours later, no one arrived. I had a chance meeting with a housekeeping manager in the elevator. Explaining the issue to him resulted in someone finally arriving. But even after that visit, the floor remained sticky in places.

HERE'S THE KICKER TO THE STORY...in the second room, just in front of the sofa; almost in the exact same place....ANOTHER TOE NAIL CLIPPING on the floor. It was so sad I had to laugh.

As you can see from reviews, some people have a great time here, some people have horror stories similar to ours. Given this is your vacation and every day is valuable, do you really want to risk the headaches? I would avoid Wyndham Palm-Aire. The Wyndham people should be ashamed of the presentation of their brand with this property.

I am a Wyndham owner and must say was very worried about our stay based on some of the reviews. Check in to check out was great!!!Freindly, attentive staff,.We stayed in tower 3 our goup included grand parents and young children, every one had a great time. Lots of on site activites. (Fitness center,4pools, one with a slid, two kiddi pools, jacuzzis, games, arts and crafts for the kids. activities center with Free Wii,board games,ping- pong, movies tennis, full Beauty salons & spa and much ,much more..) PLEASE READ YOUR WELCOME PACKAGE . Very pleased with the size of our 2BR,2BA condo, very spacious. . There were AC and ceiling fans in the bedrooms &, livingroom. We also had TV's in each room, a DVD player and CD player in the livingroom. The kitchen was fully appointed with all of the gadgets (blender, microwave, toaster, dishes, dishwasher, 4 burner stove etc.)that you have at home, and the dining area would easily seat eight people. This is the perfect resort for families if you wanted to cook one or two meals and eat one meal out. They did offer grilled food (burgers, hot dogs, fish, and chicken) which was nominally sold at the pool side cafe. We took atvantace and cooked 3 out of the 5 nights of our stay. (great for people with special diets or dietery needs.)Also, I appreciate having a washer and dryer in the unit. which we alway look for as owners with kids.:) Nice to go home with clean cloths :)( (laundry and dish washing detergent all supplied by the hotel need extray just call the front desk). Shopping (CVS, Super-Walmart ,dollor stores, restaurants) are all across the street. Our balcony faced the parking lot(free parking) which at frist I was not happy about ..but towards the end of our trip was thankful for as we did not get alot of the noise that other's had with balconies facing the pools. Concierge gave us a list and passes for local activities (Restaurants,Yacht Cruises,Spa treatments at the on site spa). As expected as an owner you are invited for the (Time Share Presentation) (not oblicated to attend),. The only thing I missed was that there was no restaurant on the grounds which meant that you had to have a vehicle to get to the nearby restaurants. We rented a car for two days from( Enterprise rental) just 10 min ride up the street ( they came picked us up right a our buldg) . We used the beach at the Vista sister resort just 10 min up the way. My family was so impressed they wasnt to return next year.

Check in was smooth and stress free after our flight was delayed three hours.
This was our first stay at this resort and as a new Wyndham owner.
The room was horrible, out dated furiniture, mildew smell, old and drabby.
Two days before check out two big cock roaches in the kitchen area. Refigerator broke and maintenance came in and used a hair blow dryer to fix the problem. He was blow drying the freezer unit for over an hour. Staff was rude and unprofessional.
We checked out early and stayed in a nice clean Marriot hotel on the beach for the duration of our trip. NEVER AGAIN!
The pool was nice

The resort is located in a safe area, great for families or just about anyone. Many conveniences such as grocery, drug stores, and restaurants are just a few blocks away, some are across the street. The entire facility is gated with card key entry into the resort, the building and room. The staff was very friendly and clean. Every staff member we passed on the grounds spoke to us. My daughters sandals tracked in some spots just inside the door of our building, we passed through there an hour later and it had been cleaned up. Our room was clean with a full kitchen with just about everything you could need for your stay. The wifi internet was a little slow for our room. There was some noise in the morning around 8 with the garbage, but other than that, it was a quiet leisurely stay.

The facility allowed us to use any of the amenities at their 3 resorts on the beach. Their other resorts were just 10 minutes away. We parked in their building, used their pool, outdoor bar and the beach. Very convenient. The Palm Aire was actually nicer than the resorts on the beach. We loved the big slide at the pool. They also had a lifeguard on duty during the day for the little ones. The bar/cafe next to the pool was nice too. We found ourselves spending more time at the resort than on the beach.

Some of the resort amenities included ping pong, putt putt, volleyball, water volleyball, bingo, daily scheduled activities which included a DJ by the pool one day. My wife attended a Zumba class. The fitness center was huge. We're planning to return at the Palm Aire for our next visit.

The first major issue I have with this resort is that an employee there stole our credit card number from the resort check-in computer and charged $10,000 on our card all over town in a matter of 3 days. We only used this card to pay for the room, nothing else. Everything else was put on a totally different account. That is how we are positive it was taken by a resort employee. Previous to the room charge on this account there was no activity on it for months before. Right after we checked out from the Palm Aire, our card started getting used that night and 2 days after totaling up to $10,000. It's scary that you can't trust to use your credit card at a resort without someone stealing the number and making their own card with it with their name on it.
My second issue, was the staff. They were unprofessional, rude, had bad attitudes, most of them were clueless and not helpful, and didn't seem like they wanted to be there at all. The only smiles and "good mornings" we encountered were from the cleaning crew. The staff at the front desk, activity center, cafe, etc.....forget it! Not pleasant!
My last issue, the room. They put us in a room in the building connected to where you check in. If you get a room over there (the short 3 story building) ask for one in one of the towers. The rooms in the 3 story building are very outdated and old whereas the rooms in the towers are very new, remodeled, updated, etc. They should remodel and update the short building to be the same quality as the rest of the towers before renting them out. We had small TVs that we had to pull our chairs up close to watch to avoid getting eye strain. By now, the TVs should be updated to something a little bigger for the living room area at least. At this day in age you'd think they'd have flat screens and not the old box style TVs. Apparently they do in the tower rooms, but not in the building we were placed in. We never could get the remote to work to the TV in the living room. Most of our lightbulbs were burnt out so we had to call to get new ones put in when we first got there. Before we even went to our room I asked at check in if we could a room in one of the tower buildings that were closer to the pool. The front desk lady was rude about it stating that I needed "to specify a certain building when I book my room next time." How would I know what building to stay in if we've never been to the resort? I've never booked a resort online to where I had to specify my own choice of building. The only thing we were allowed to choose was the number of bedrooms we wanted online. Once we got there and noticed that all the tower buildings were closer to the pools we asked if we could be in one of those because it was easier with small children to step right out the door and there's the pool. If you're in the short check in building (the one not shown on their website) then you have to walk across the street in the resort to go to the pool areas. That was a pain to do all week with small children. I explained to the lady why I was inquiring about changing our room location before we even went up to ours and she was rude and short to the point, basically blaming me that that was what we booked. There are 2 bedroom rooms in the tower buildings as well. I booked a 2 bedroom room, not a specific building!!!!! She didn't care to understand or even listen to what I had to say. And I know we paid the same as what the rooms in the towers were after speaking to other guests. So they can't use the "you get what you pay for" statement to us. That was the warm welcome we got upon checking in.
And for those of you who need the internet while there on business and such, it's SLOW!!! They shouldn't advertise it as highspeed, it's aweful! You'll eventually lose your patience and give up. Just go swimming instead, the pools are nice and clean at least.
We will never return to this resort and will see to it that our friends/family don't either. Especially after having our credit card number stolen from one of their employees and then having a major shopping spree on it.

I just recently went down to Wyndham Palm Aire resort with my sister as both our husbands own their own business and had some work to do down in this area. Our suite that was book 3 WEEKS prior to check in was under the company credit card. When Checking in we did not get the room as requested and expected. They stuck us in the tower attached to the check in counter which is 3 stories that overlook a parking lot and is VERY outdated. Hard couches, small tv's and burned out lights in each room. When discussing a new room with the lady at the check-in counter she was nothing but RUDE and unprofessional so we sucked it up and tooked the room that we WERENT expecting and moved on.

Next day we go to buy tickets for activities happening within the resort and the guy working at the counter to sell the tickets "Cant help us" and had to call another girl down to take our money to purchase tickets of which we had to wait about 10 minutes with kids to wait for someone who could actually help us.. whats the point of having a guy working at a desk that cant help you when you go to purchase tickets? Why is he even there then? To just sit there and stare around the room that they call an "arcade"? Not to mention when we approached him to buy the tickets, again, this person wasnt very polite either.. must be a requirement to be rude in order to get hired at this place.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, the day of check-out our husband's company credit card that we used for check in and was asked by the lady at the front desk to "see the card for a minute" starting getting charges of $3,000.00 for the next couple days starting at midnight from the day of check-out. Funny thing is this company card was ONLY used at the resot at the time of check-in and no where else while we were in that area. We live up north about 3 hours away and all the charges took place AFTER we left town that day and were in an amount of $10k TOTAL all in the Pompano, Margate, Ft. Lauderdale area which tells us SOMEONE at this resort stole the credit card number from out their system and went on a shopping spree. I WOULD NOT recommend this resort to anyone. i would hate to see other people have to go through the headaches, loss and stress we had to go through trying to fight a total of $10,000 on the credit card. First time at this resort and most importantly THE LAST!
