I cannot believe the lies this owner says, they were not booked when we wanted to stay, I was doing them a favour by not blocking out other dates by booking directly with them, I did get my damage deposit back but you don't get the insurance back, I'm guessing this saves the owner taking out insurance the renter pays it, the house is not light as you can't open the blinds on the big windows. He admitted himself the home needed updating.
We made the mistake of booking directly with the owner, we could have booked and paid with PayPal but as we wanted to book different dates from our original request the owner said it would block out dates he had availability. Booking direct cost an extra $60 for using credit card, an extra $110 because my card was declined until I confirmed the request with security, apparently every time they tried to take payment it cost $30 plus costs! They also charge $480 insurance that you don't get back. The day before we went we had a message there was no internet, not an issue they were getting it fixed, we got there late evening, no internet, no phone, no TV. We asked for a refund so we could go elsewhere, they refused. We had to keep going to the cafe down the road so the owners could send us emails to arrange for the engineer to call, we waited in 3 times over 3 days, the engineer was going to the owners other home, it was fixed by day 4. We requested a refund for 3 days, we could have 3 days free next time we go, no way are we coming back, we were offered a refund of 1.5 days to be returned with our security deposit, we didn't get it, I emailed to remind them, they asked if I had proof they had offered the refund, yes I did, I sent them the email still no refund a week later, please do not book either of this owners home, the other one is listed as go naked.
The outside area of the house and the kitchen is beautiful, the bedrooms are old, tired looking, dark, none of the blinds work, the drapes don't fit, I told the owner this and he threatened to come knocking on the door, he later admitted they needed to do some updating, an absolute nightmare week, stay well clear.

We loved our stay at this house so much we had to add a night. The size was perfect for me and my parents, my husband and our little Maltipoo who thought he was in heaven too. The pool area was so beautiful and comfortable we all just wanted to swim all day and enjoy most of our meals at the house looking out at the scenic canals and Coconut Trees. We actually never made it to the beach because we just wanted to enjoy this beautiful home which is decorated very tastefully. There are 3 bedrooms, a King Master bedroom , and a suite with a Queen Bedroom, a bath and a room with 2 Twins. They all open up to pool area and there are many delightful details including the exercise bicycle, ceiling fans everywhere, and best shower we have ever enjoyed. The people who own the house are very kind and helpful. There's free wifi and a laundry room, pool accessories, everything you need. We will surely be back again and again.
Taking timeout over the holidays with children and grandchildren was a real treat at this vacation home. Lots of space, well appointed, terrific pool. Lots of extras in the kitchen, many pool 'toys' and towels galore. The view was spectacular, situated on a quiet street overlooking the inter-coastal. Easy walking distance to grocery store. Easy access to highways for Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The owners could not have been more helpful, answering any queries very promptly.
A week was not long enough!
Coconut Haven was a perfect 'home away from home'. We travelled with another family 4 adults and 4 children in total. When we stepped through the front door, we knew we would enjoy our stay. The house was spotlessly clean and spacious. With a central lay out plan, the renovated kitchen is the hub of the house. Glass doors back on to to pool and intercoastal water way. I don't know what we liked better - morning coffee as the sun was rising or mid-afternoon happy hour and the evening sunset!
The back patio - complete with heated pool and hot tub - were perfect to keep the kids occupied. There was lots of space and seating for entertaining as we had other family staying in the area that dropped by for a BBQ and a swim.
After a busy day, the living room had plenty of seating for everyone and the bedrooms are located on opposite ends of the house. Great privacy for two families staying together but needing some of their own space.
The neighborhood is quiet and close to everything. The Wal Mart Neighborhood Market is within minutes drive as is the beach.
Loved this house and what it has to offer. Mal and Dianne were great to deal with. Very prompt in returning e-mails and responding to inquiries.
Would recommend this house.
