We asked our hotel for a recommendation of somewhere close and decent to eat dinner several nights ago. They said if we like Houston's (a local high end steak house) that we would also enjoy the Riverside Grill. Awesome. We were seated promptly. The decor was tacky complete with dusty fake flowers and exposed flame candles. But we didn't come here to smell the fake flowers so let's move on. I had to send both of our waters back because mine had dirt in it and there was lipstick on my husbands glass. I ordered the Mahi-Mahi grilled. It was drenched with dried spices, the vegetables were soggy and my potato was drowning in oil infused rosemary . Still hungry, I ordered dessert. The warm apple pie ala mode came out still frozen. Once the chef re-microwaved it, it was warm and average. Another charming feature I forgot to mention were the flickering lights throughout our meal. I was expecting to see a camera crew pop up at any moment because I felt like I was on "restaurant impossible". Needless to say, stay away.
