Our third time spending our vacation at the Beachcomber. Took the whole family this time. Didn't get the rooms we had hoped for (south corner oceanfront) but Margaret was very accommodating and met our needs. The beach and pool are beautiful and Steve is the best bartender in South Florida. Looking forward to coming back.

My husband and I stayed at Beachcomber for a 5 day getaway. Older place but well maintained and clean. Cleaning staff did miss a spilled frothy drink from prior tenants on the balcony table and a little dust top of the dresser in the closet but everything else was so wonderful that I had to rate them a 5. Clean bathroom, room, lobby, hallways and our king bed was so very comfortable. Thanks for wooden blinds on our poolside room, we like darkness to sleep in. Many of the staff are long term and very nice, polite and have a great attitude. We never had to look very long for anyone willing to help even though they were fully booked during our stay. This place seems like a little oasis in the midst of the tall condo cement city surrounding them. Perfect little menu for lunch on the beach or poolside. We had the awesome ahi tuna, chicken fingers in the cabana we rented on the beach for $25 per day. Nice to have cushioned loungers on the balcony. We were in room 307 over the pool but for being right there, the room was fairly quiet with blinds closed. Parking is free, thank you! A little tight finding a spot when they're fully booked but extra parking across the street. Prior reviews state food and drinks are expensive for a little semi resort but take a look around in this area. Lunch at $12 and specialty drinks at same price is quite typical. QUALITY is key for us and they filled the bill for us. We will be back to this nice little place, not that little but has a nice little homey feel. Restaurant is the huge tiki on the beach, great great spot in the morning and evening. The lounge area off the lobby is so pretty with candles lit in the evening, didn't seem to get used much, maybe it's used in the winter. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: If balcony privacy is important, stay on 8th floor or above. The 2 bedroom villas are 1 floor only i...

Before we go on any trips and pick a hotel to stay at I read as many reviews as I can from Tripadvisor and other sites. Beachcomber had mostly great reviews, with a few people here and there that were not happy with their rooms. I am HAPPY to report that we had a Great stay at Beachcomber for Fathers Day weekend. Arrived at 11am, was told our room wouldnt be ready until 1pm but the front desk lady told us we can go ahead and enjoy the pools/beach. She handed us cards to exchange for towels by the pool and off we went. The front of the hotel is not all that pretty but once your inside it is very nice. The landscaping is beautiful, two pools, a restaurant, bar and a clean beach. Our room was 608 and has a great view of the ocean. our room was an ocean view with a good size balcony, however there were no walls between the baloncys..so little privacy. Luckily our neighbors were rarely out and everyone was respectful. The room was clean and was mostly in good condition, nice size tv and desk with chair (no table and chairs). No Complaints. I did my usual "bed bug check" and found not a trace.

The restaurant was also really good! We ALL enjoyed our meal at lunch. I DO NOT agree with the other reviewers that say it is expensive. Dinner is, but lunch was similarly priced to other restaurants nearby (I checked!). We enjoyed eating at the tables on the sand.

You can rent beach chairs, beach umbrellas, little beach cabana tents, and lounge chair pads.

All of the staff we encountered were friendly. Enjoyed happy hour from 4-7pm every day. There was also a man singing and playing a guitar that was good. You couldn't hear him well at the pool though, wish he was playing between the pool/restaurant area.

The clientele here is VERY diverse. I would say a good 50% of the people here were couples, mostly older, some younger. and than 25% smaller families and 25% larger families. Seems to have attracted people from all over the country.

I want to THANK Beachcomber for NOT having a parking fee!! This is one of the reasons we chose to stay with you guys!

My kids cried when it was time to leave. We had a nice relaxing weekend. We are locals and definitely plan to come back again soon!

Room Tip: room above 4th floor in main building. Oceanview rooms have a NICE view but if you are looking for p...

My boyfriend and I were looking to go on vacation in ft. lauderdale and boy did we luck out on our hotel. Not just the hotel itself which is an older property thats really well kept which i feel is hard for some chains to keep up with. Iv been in the hotel industry for over two years now so i always go to trip advisor to read the reviews because that is the best way to REALLY see and read about what your getting into. The staff was unreal, it really seemed like people enjoyed working for the company. Johnny and Judy the bartenders were definetly our favorite so informative of the city, the hotel and really made us laugh (which is really important when your paying ten dollars for a frozen drink lol) but dont be discouraged by drink prices, its a tourist place its going to be costly where ever you go. We stayed in an ocean front room..it was rom 410 it was PERFECT. The view, how spacious the room was, cleanliness...all of it. They also have a shuttle to transport you to airport for 35 dollars, way better than a 60 dollar cab. I have nothing but positive things to say about our visit, and if ever in the area again we know where to stay!

Room Tip: go ahead and spend the extra twenty bucks to have an ocean front or view room. WORTH every cent. com...

What a beautiful beach resort. We stayed in an ocean front room. It normally takes me a couple nights to get a good night sleep while on vacation but not this time. The king size bed was perfect, just like mine at home. I slept like a baby. There is nothing better then starting the day eating a delicious breakfast outside just steps away from the beach! The beach is beautiful. We enjoyed swimming in the ocean. The location is close to the Fort Lauderdale airport, shopping and other activities. The resort is a hidden gem and the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Frankie! He provided fantastic beach service and got me to RELAX! I look forward to our next stay!

Rooms are clean, very friendly staff , the food is really good ,most of all it's at a great location and wether one books into a suite, ocean view or European room the view is spectacular, the hotel does not offer any water activities but the resort next door does,we did jetski and had fun.
Few blocks down I suppose making left coming out of the hotel you will come across Cambridge street where the night comes to life with restaurants music etc.
