For your every need....the Charlotte County Cultural Center has so much to offer....a library, restaurant, theater productions, band concerts, symphonies, card games, bingo, gift shop, thrift store, lessons for everything from line and tap dancing to ballroom, computer, photography, woodcraft, yoga..the list goes on and on....they always feature a special meal for every calendar event and have many regular live concerts at very reasonable prices in their beautiful theatre throughout each month...they advertise regularly with an insert in the Charlotte Sun newspaper providing all the Cultural Center news and offerings...you can even drop off used items for their Thrift Store...or better yet volunteer for a few hours a week. Well run, well organized - and lots of interesting things to see and do!

“Dancing at the cultural center”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2014

My wife and I began our dancing careers in the late 70's. The cultural center has been very supportive, but it appears it no longer considers dancing for the seniors as important since it is not a revenue producer.

“Dancing Monday night”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014

Recently met with center director after dance location was changed to "small room"
The director and dance chair lady would not budge on their decision to put the dance
Back in large hall with wood floor, kept saying " cost too much to break room down"
Even after we offered to do it for free, mr H kept shrugging his shoulders after obtaining
Over 50 signatures to reconsider they stonewalled all requests, furthermore even let " Gigi" a
Volunteer for 6 yrs at dance go replacing her with paid employee to collect tickets because
She disagreed with their decision , too bad the center was we thought for the community
Not the self interest of czar like employees and really fire a volunteer ? Too bad their loss
