Located next to Cracker Creek, this is a good history of an old hunting/fishing cottage for the Gamble Family. Not fancy but peaceful Old Florida history.

Thank Donna K

Little slice of country. You can take canoes & kayaks out for a paddle. Property is nice. They have a fire pit and a covered area to sit and eat.

I had no idea this existed. Enjoyed it immensely during the spring visit I made with a friend. Yes, I wish the Snow White cottage was open, but it's just a fun place to walk around. Cute little dinosaur mural in the ladies room. You can't beat the price. Not disappointed at all.

So, the building is interesting to walk around...but you get very little information since there are no "tours" except pre-arranged school/large tour groups. This is a shame, as you can see that there is a lot of history here. All the houses are closed off, but I suppose what can you expect for $2 admission.

We originally found this place years ago in the "Wierd Florida" book, we had a fantastic experience taking the river boat through old Florida, seeing wildlife and original buildings, but the best was snow whites cottage, a replica built on the grounds with the 7 dwarfs, it was magical and so not Disney. What a disappointment to return to find all buildings are closed to public, boat tours only on weekends, and Snow White cottage open only for tours arranged through Daytona beach arts museum which apparently owns the cottage. This is such a shame, the place could be a major tourist attraction, as explained to us by an indifferent employee, it is mostly open to school groups. Wow are they still watching Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs?
