This is a nice little inn/B&B in a beautiful spot. This area reminds me a lot of the way Destin used to be, much less developed than a lot of the Gulf Coast at this point without the high-rises. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the layout of this Inn made it so our room was right off the community dining area- made it a little less romantic than it could have been and a little hard to sleep in. Otherwise, room was great, comfortable bed, clean, nice shower, awesome screened porch with great view, nice bike trail to a beautiful State Park, and super nice and friendly staff. I would recommend this Inn, but I would recommend getting an upstairs room.

Room Tip: Upstairs away from the kitchen will be quieter, Turtle Shell the nicest room in the Inn.

What a wonderful place. Breakfast was really fun. The food is fantastic - you don't want to miss the stuffed French toast. We made several new friends and shared travel stories over the wonderful meal. The rooms are great, very clean and comfortable. We love the bike riding, canoeing, beach & hot tub on the dock. The perfect place for a quiet, peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable weekend or vacation. Wendy and Tammy are friendly, hospitable and helpful, but not intrusive - our kind of hostesses. We will certainly be returning.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice, but if you can pay a little extra to upgrade, the upstairs rooms are great. There is a wonderful suite with a fireplace. Also there is one room downstairs with a private screened porch.

I stayed at the Cape San Blas Inn on two occasions in October for business and both were excellent! The Inn is charming, well appointed and Wendy's breakfasts are amazing. It's worth the stay just for that!
I definitely recommend the Cape San Blas Inn.

Room Tip: Both rooms I stayed in were excellent, but the most economical was the Clam Shell.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Inn in September (2013) and looking forward to go back end of October! It's a peaceful Inn, right on the bay - very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were fantastic, and I'm hoping that they will make the Peach Cobbler French Toast (yowzer!) when we return. They have these really nice portable beach chairs in the room. We took them to the State Park beach- which was voted best in America in 2012. You can access the beach across the street from the Inn - but highly recommend taking the short drive to the park. Wendy, the manager, is charming, and on top of her "game" in managing all the wonderful details of this place. A local convenience store is located across the street if you want to buy pop, beer, wine or other things.

Room Tip: Bayside, up or down.

First of all, let me just say that while this is a fun and relaxing B & B, Wendy the Inn Keeper makes this place the enjoyable destination that it is ! She keeps the Inn super clean, and is very pro active in making sure every detail of your stay is enjoyable. The Inn itself is a quaint, charming little property across from the beach and a little grocery shop. We stayed in the Clam Shell room which was tastefully decorated, and included a very comfy bed, ok pillows, a huge walk in shower in the bathroom, refrigerator, large flat screen, dvd player, balcony porch, and 2 Panama Jack beach chairs which we took to the beach with us. While there, we enjoyed the delicious breakfast both mornings, and got the recipes from Wendy. Lots of fresh fruit accompanied each meal. The view from the large deck overlooks the bay so we relaxed there with breakfast. There were an amazing amount of butterflies every morning to watch floating by. We enjoyed kayaking on the Bay with the boats on property and loved the hot tub at the end of the dock at day's end. Bikes are also available to use. Everything one would need for a quiet but fun getaway is there- from corkscrews for wine, the glasses to go with it to lots of magazines to read. The one thing that kept me from giving this property 5 stars was the ventilation in our room. Our first night the room was very stuffy and warm, but we had no way to control the temperature other than the ceiling fan. Wendy took care of the setting the next day so the second night was much more comfortable. It would better to have some individual control over the temp. or fix the venting to this room to bring the comfort level up a notch as this room gets very warm. We would go back again, and we really believe Wendy makes the stay there the joy that it is!

Room Tip: The Clam Shell room can get a little toasty even in the Fall.
