This was our second annual trip to the Cape San Blas Inn. It is a six hour drive for us, but it is definately worth it. Wendy and Tammy are the perfect hostesses. Each day they out-did themselves making really wonderful breakfasts. Our room was perfect, very cozy and clean. This time our room had a screened in porch, which I would recommend. Along with the Inn having bikes and canoes available to use, it has thought of all the small things you may need too, like a library of DVD's to watch in your room, beach chairs, beach towels, an outdoor shower, and a microwave oven available in the dining room amore'. The Trading Post across the street is like a small general store, and they also bake Hunt Brothers Pizza. Also, Thurs - Sun., there is a small kiosk at the Trading Post, and Wendy's family sells fresh made donuts from 7am till 11 am. It was nice to get away from the tourism of Orlando, and stay where it is peaceful, quiet, and without traffic. This made it great for bike riding, canoeing, using the hot tub, and walking to the beautiful beach, which is just across the street. There are a couple of great parks on the Cape, and if you are wiling to drive, there are caverns about 90 minutes north, in Mariana. Horseback riding on the beach and eco tours are also available on the Cape (see the many brochures at the Inn) Once again, it was hard to leave.More
