“A "must visit" place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013 via mobile

Very casual place for dinner. Love the honor system beer cooler! I had oysters and crab legs... both were very good. Would I go every night... no... but it's worth a spot on you itinerary at least once per trip.

“No other place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

To go into the store and be greated by the fine folks that work there is awesome. The service is great and the way you have to get your own beer under the trust rule it is something else. Never will you go anywhere else that has the great people and the awesome food than here.

“Honey, you're not at the Ritz Carlton.”

We love the Raw Bar and no trip to this area would be complete without a pilgrimage here. This is a melting pot of locals and tourists who arrive here to visit, eat, and drink. Don't expect pristine potties or white glove service. Do expect delicious Apalachicola Bay oysters, shrimp, and more served by hard working and friendly staff. The honor system is in force here, so keep up with how much beer, wine, and other beverages you consume along with your meal selections. Dress is very casual.

“Awesome Food - Friendly Place - Historic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 November 2013

We have eaten many times at the Indian Pass Raw Bar. It is good food - very simple menu - served pretty simply, but it is amazingly good. Their King Crab was a huge portion and very sweet, their crab stuffed shrimp was awesome, and their baked oysters were really amazing.

It is for just relaxing, as you serve yourself beers from the tap --- pitchers are only $7.00!!! You take what you want from the coolers --- wine, wine coolers, ciders, soda and a good variety of bottled beers………………it is very relaxed, so don't dress up!!!! Also, make sure you put a pin in the map to mark where you are from!!!!

To top off the already good eats, they have the best ever Key Lime Pie --- worth the carbs and calories!!!!!

This place was established in 1903, and has been devastated by hurricanes, but they keep rebuilding, but keeping the same decor and simple local menu.

As I said, it is a very simple location with great food --- not a fine dining place -- but great food!!!

“Save Your Oyster $$ for Apalachicola”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2013

If you like dining in a grungy restaurant with small oysters, this might be the place for you. We tried the baked oysters with parmesan cheese. They were very small and extremely salty. It's clear the owners don't put any money into the place--old, cracked folding tables with mismatched plastic patio chairs. It would help if they cleaned the joint--the bathrooms were disgusting. A thick layer of dirt on the plumbing pipes. It made me wonder how they passed the health inspection.
