One of the most unique dining casual seafood spots I've been to. The menu is quite simple, and when you walk in you're given a paper menu. You simply check off what you want, and turn it in to your server. You walk to the cooler in the back and pick out anything you'd like to drink. You keep up with your own drink tab (honor system). My husband and I ordered the gumbo, a pound of peel and eat shrimp and a dozen baked oysters. We sat at the bar and watched them prepare our food in front of us. Not to brag, but my husband and I KNOW our seafood. The shrimp were so fresh, they had that "snap" when you bite into them, and were seasoned so well! It's hard to season peel and eat shrimp well, so we were impressed. The oysters were extremely fresh (we watched them shuck and cook ours), and the gumbo was delicious. We ended up eating here 2 out of 6 nights that we ate out because we couldn't get enough. Worth the drive from St. George Island! Even bought a coffee cup souvenir!

We were not impressed! We had tried this place a few years ago and had the same impression.
For starters the oysters are tiny and nothing special. The saltine cracker boxes on tables are pawed through by previous eaters. Our steamed shrimp was good but pricey. The shrimp was fresh but salty. The server brought our toasted bread after the oysters were eaten but we noticed other people's baked oysters had the bread served on top of the platter not as an after thought. Everything was fairly expensive as compared to other places we have eaten.
Lots of people seem to come here to hang out. We won't be back!

We like fun, rustic, down home places. The stuffed shrimp and oysters are excellent. Some places put more additions than are needed.

Probably the most singularly unique restaurant I have ever been to. The honor system is the mode of operation. self serve beer by the can, bottle, mug or pitcher...keep a tally on the sheet at your table and pay accordingly at the end. flat price for a large beer selection so Stella costs the same as Miller.
Great crowd, great food, Oysters, cold steamed shrimp (how do they make them taste so much better than other steamed shrimp?) stuffed shrimp and of course Apalachicola bay Oysters. Never got to the crab, but didn't have to.
Down and dirty in the best sense. We went there for our final meal at Indian Pass this year; in April it will be our first meal after we check into our house.
Personally, I will hit it a couple of more times before we leave.

We have been eating at this restaurant for many years during our vacations.Back then it wasn't very busy. Today, It's usually standing room only. You may have to wait for a table but let me tell you, it's well worth it. Oysters, shrimp and crab legs. You enter the restaurant. Pick a table or a spot at the shucking bar. Walk to the back and pick which drink you want. There's a vast selection of sodas ,beers, wines and juices. There's even Landshark on tap. Make sure you keep the tops of your bottles so they know which ones to charge you for. The ambiance is fantastic. Crowds of people eating fresh shucked oysters. Upon leaving, you tell the cashier what your party had. You're on the honor system here. We go every chance we get!
