“Shameful for a SpringHill Suites”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2014

I am a loyal Marriott customer and prefer SpringHill suites. I was very disappointed in this property. The rooms are horrifically outdated and still sport the old CRT TV. The check-in staff was very friendly and called shortly after check-in to see how the room was. However, I was later disappointed when I went down stars to sit outside for a few minutes to find what appeared to be her son and two friends bringing their drama to the lobby. This went on for 45 minutes or so before she finally left for the evening. The only saving grace this property had was while the rooms are very old and outdated, the property was fairly clean. As a career traveler, my biggest pet peeve is properties trying to soak every ounce of profit our of their property without reinvesting. With the property so outdated, the value proposition is gone from this hotel based on the prices they request. I will not stay here again.

Thank your time and energy in providing feedback regarding your stay. We certainly appreciate your frustration with the property needing updates. We are currently making strides to address upgrades so not to disturb in house guests. I am aware of the "guest" incident that occured in the lobby that evening. I assure you we addressed it immediatly and asked the young man to check out of the hotel the followiong morning. He was not a relative of our desk associate, rather our associate was simply trying to help the troubled young man that happened to be a registered guest. We apologize that you had to experience that during your stay,

We appreciate and value your loyalty to Marriott and hope you will allow us another opportunity in the future.

Thank you

Traveling through Florida and stopped for the evening. Springhill suites I've stayed at in the past have had a bubble theme and rooms are modernistic. Not the same here. Sort of a tired old motel redone. Problem with no hot water . Staff helpful after pushing for a new room . So if you have an image of newer spring hill suites they are different under the skin.

We thank you for your business and certainly appreciate your dissapointment compared to a new SpringHill Design Package. We are currently making great strides in renovating our property in increments in order to avoid any guest interuption.

We hope you will allow us another opportunity in the future to better serve you!

Thank you again for your time and energy in providing feedback that is always benifical to our
hotel and owners!

The only reason this place gets lower reviews is because it is a bit dated. As such you have some wear and tear in a hotel that is older. Service was great though! Sabrina, who worked the desk when we checked in late night was amazingly friendly and helpful. Sweet Lady! Breakfast in the morning was as good as any of the other 20+ springhill suites I have ever stayed in. Beds were firm and comfortable (much prefer some firmness over the ridiculously soft beds that I find in most other Marriott properties). Sheets and room were clean and nice. No problems with the stay at all. Would stay here anytime! Super bargain if you are using marriott reward points!

Port St. Lucie happened to be a convenient stopoff place on our trip. We weren't looking for a vacation resort, just an overnight stay. For that purpose, this was perfect. It was clean. The accommodations -- bedroom, living room, kitchenette area -- were spacious. Everything worked, including easy-access WiFi. And the staff people went out of their way to be friendly -- the people behind the desk, the breakfast attendant, even the maintenance guy we encountered on the elevator. There's a pleasant pool area, where we relaxed with a drink after a day on the road. Breakfast was better than usual for this kind of place -- more choices. The overall impression was of a well-managed business. And the price was most reasonable.

The hotel is decent for the money. Between Palm Beach/Jupiter/Stuart and Cape Canaveral, one would expect mostly motels along I-95 and Florida's Turnpike. This hotel provides free breakfast. The rooms are standard Springhill Suites rooms, which are more like studio suites with bed and sofa bed. The pool was heated. Very good value for the money.

From the warm welcome from Justin at the front desk to amazing breakfast this a hotel I can not wait to return too. Everyone is pleasant and nice . The room was a great size . The beds were the best I have ever sleep on . So soft . More then enough pillows and even extra ones in the room . As someone with asthma is most of the time is a problem with not enough pillows . Not here and I think if it had been , the wonderful staff at the front desk would have fixed . I can not say enough about how nice the staff was . Super friendly and they really care .

If you need to break your journey on the I-95 north of West Palm Beach, you will find lots of exits such as Jupiter and Stuart. Do not stop in those towns since their hotels are just as pricey as staying in West Palm Beach.
Drive 18 minutes north of Stuart to the Port St. Lucie exit, and stay at this super SpringHill Suites, a Marriott Property.

2 Minutes off the I-95, it is surrounding by restaurants like Ruby Tuesdays and is walking distance to Chili's (they share a parking lot). It is also less than a 1 minute drive to an outdoor mall, featuring Ross, Wal-Mart, and other stores. Yet the hotel is very quiet, since it is not right beside the interstate. The 2 minute drive away from it helps with the quietude.

The rooms are like most SpringHill Suites: separate bedrooms, separate working/office areas. And the free wireless internet speed is high. Download all you want. There is also a fridge and microwave, which really helps if you want to bring your own food. The rooms are also soundproof, which allows for a great sleep. People complaining about it being run down are Male Divas who need to stop whining and start paying "W" Hotel prices if that's what they want (but of course they won't pay for luxury, and will whine when they don't get it).

The staff is friendly and will help you out if you need it. They make sure to offer you the bonus Marriott points. The only drawback that costs this place one star is that there is only 1 elevator. That is a bit of a pain.

Last, but not least, is the unbeatable price. It is almost $50 less per night than the Courtyard in Stuart (where the rooms are almost 1/2 the size despite the higher price). You might have to drive 18 minutes more North on the I-95, but saving $50 with bigger and better rooms, plus a microwave, plus all those restaurants and shopping is so worth it. Thank you SpringHill Suites. :)
