The food is good and the staff very friendly. The rustic ambience is quaint but the food is why you would go there.

why this place is one of my favorites - but I keep going back anyway. I so prefer it to the fancy crab place in town. This place is small, crowded, rushed, runs out of stuff, uses paper towels for napkins - well you get the picture. I've never had crab, so I can't speak to them. Chowders are excellent, as are crab cakes and shrimp. It's just one of those love it or hate it places & I love it. Note - I think the prices are the same for both lunch & dinner.

We were on our way home from Miami and decided to stop for lunch. What a pleasant surprise. We were seated outside on the porch after a short wait at a picnic style table setup. The place was packed at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon. (good sign) The staff were all very pleasant and knew their menu. The oysters and shrimp were FRESH!! The chowder was excellent. The food temperatures were correct. There were many locals there and everyone raved about the place. The only dissapointment was the restroom facilities. Only one bathroom for everyone and it wasn't very nice.
There was a seafood market on site, you could purchase fresh seafood to take home and use your own restroom.

This is old FL setting. It is partially hidden by trees and is an old house made into a restaurant - surely one of a kind. If you like an open area for eating, this is the place. There are picnic tables on decks, some covered area, and inside tables. And the food is wonderful even if it seems expensive. The seafood is fresh and the key lime pie was very good. Just sorry we didn't discover this place sooner as we are heading home today!

Expects a lunch type menu but was very pricey and not really that great. Expected more for previous reviews. Probably won't go back. We've eaten at outdoor old types before, but nothing special.
